Have any celebrities gone missing?!

No AIBU just posting here as more people use this topic.

I know being famous means you cannot leave your old life and start again like some missing people must.

Some people just vanish though don't they? Taking no money or ID.

Can people just "disappear? I know a lot of these people will have been murdered and no evidence found but how come it hadn't happened to anyone famous.

Had a drink tonight abs I can't really put it into words what I'm trying to say.

I'm not actually drunk not drank in years but I use that as an excuse because of my autism abs dyslexia.

Tbf we couldn't possibly know that particularly when you explicitly tell us you are drunk.

What an ofd post. Most people who are missing and never to be found are likely dead. Those who are found are no longer missing.

Harold Holt, the then prime minister of Australia went missing while out for a swim.
It was quite clear that he drowned. He was not just "out for a swim" , but went into very strong surf in a dangerous area , on his own . His family were on the beach watching, He basically disappeared into the surf and never came up again.

Naturally, being the Prime Minister, it was a big story and people speculated about the disappearance, but if he 'd been anyone else it would have just been a clear case of someone drowning in a dangerous surf.

I think its pretty well evident that Richey jumped off the Severn bridge sadly. I live in Wales and am a big Manics fan so I've investigated this a lot. A taxi driver even reported dropping off a young man near the bridge at the right time and described him as about 5"7, thin, with dark hair and "a Scottish accent that occasionally slipped into Welsh". There are some odd circumstances that make it just about possible he might have faked his death but it's very very improbable.

Avril Lavigne is meant to have gone missing and been replaced to carry on making the music people money. Don't go down the rabbit hole and Google it. You will never get that time back...

They say the same about Paul McCartney but two very different leagues I feel.

I wish Richie Manic had staged his disappearance but I don't believe he did. Spotted in Thailand etc.

I saw first Manics gig without him supporting Stone Roses and there was a man (I assume) in a Darth Vadar costume stood next to us all day / night - I did keep wondering if it was Richie.

Lord Lucan in the 70s murdered his children's nanny and was never seen again.
People said that they saw him abroad etc but it all remained a mystery for years if he did live or die.
Was a sad case and he was a nasty piece of work.

Last I heard he was hosting a naked game show ,which admittedly was probably over 20 years ago. Finger on pulse.

I'm guessing him and Maggie Philbin had divorced.

Whatever happened to her? Did she go missing? Shall I shut up?
