How is what he doing anything different from a journalist? Except he’s not getting paid to do it, and they are. So why should he be arrested? He’s simply a freelancer who will put himself at risk and then sell his story opposed to paid journalists who get paid upfront and then go to danger zones to get stories.

the difference is that journalists play a role and sell a story. They don't sell themselves.

You can compare him with the bunch from TOWIE or made in love island (except they are all completely harmless), not with a war reporter.

Presumably it was a wedding for an Afghani couple and the family were also originally from Afghanistan? Not a couple from Milton Keynes deciding that Afghanistan would make for a great destination wedding? I think that is different actually. Still a dangerous thing to do, but much more understandable. Don't you think?

Realistically his local staff won't be evacuated *@Errno* And sadly there's no reason why they should take priority over any other Afghans. The only Afghans that the UK and US can attempt to evacuate are those who have put their lives at risk by working for them. And they can't even be certain of getting all of those out, never mind considering it for staff at a random animal rescue.

I don't mean to sound harsh, but there is absolutely no reason why they should be prioritised. The whole thing is awful, but this ex-marine is being entirely unrealistic I'm afraid.

Sadly I think this is right. I've been watching his updates and - understandably! - he's getting more angry and upset. He's now saying he needs guaranteed safe passage from his compound to the airport, for 71 staff plus family plus nearly 200 cats and dogs.

I admire his dedication to his team but it's not going to happen.

This is the "rapeugee" comment. Can you link to where he posted it? Or any screenshots or anything else pinning it on him (not Mumsnet quotes!). I've looked and can't find it.

It was on a thread he started on 4chan, with the comment made under his username. I've gone back to try to screenshot it but all his threads about the whole thing (he had three of them at the last count) have now been deleted, conveniently enough )

I've only seen references to it, no screen shots.

Yeah! I saw screenshots in all sorts of places, Reddit, Twitter, Twitch etc. But now all of his streams seem to have gone and all that is left are heavily edited/cleaned up reports of his SM reportage

Though Twitter dows still have his rather crass "hiding in a burka" comments.

Someone has done a good clean up job, all of his SM channels have been deleted/locked. Seemingly only the post with the C+P, way upthread, remains.

Unfortunately, it probably will. Some fourth rate media company will pay him to appear in some sort of format/give his exclusive in a “documentary.
