To think having shopping delivered before 8am on Sunday is not very neighbourly?

We've been away for the last two weekends so I'd blissfully forgotten about this really annoying routine my relatively new neighbours have. Then I heard the "slide crash" of the Tesco van this morning at 7.36am Angry.
She's on mat leave, he wfh and certainly doesn't seem to be confined to home office all day everyday, so they really don't need it delivered this early on this particular day.
I usually have to get up at about 8.15 on Sundays to cart my DC's off to various sporting activities. But in the week I have to get up at 7.15 so that extra hour is cherished. Only now I'm awake thanks to the dulcet tones of crates being unloaded.
This is lighthearted btw, I know they are more important things to worry about. But bloody hell it's a bit rude!

I book the 4 hour window slots with Sainsbury's that are only £1 but they choose the time within that window. I choose 6am-10am so I can get on with my day, this week my slot was 6.30-7.30 and they came at 7. Perhaps it bothers my neighbours who knows, but that's life in built up areas people will be doing things at times you might not.

I think you're right. And there seems to be no concept of people not working 9-5 Monday to Friday on MN.

There really isn't is there? Bet most still want the services that people who work outside these times
provide to continue to be available, as long as it's done silently and definitely not on a Sunday.

My old neighbours complained about me getting up early on Sunday's to go to work - after waking me up at 5.30am Mon to Fri after I'd done late shifts the night before and on my days off and often watching films loudly until the small hours on a Saturday night. How dare I move in my own home, much less want to shower and be clean for work on a Sunday 🥴

Exactly!

Monday to Friday with early closing on Wednesdays had long gone!

24 hour world we live in.

Gyms open 24 hours, supermarkets etc.

YAB ridiculous. What if that's the only slot they can get? If she's on mat leave they are also tied up with a new baby so if that's their most convenient time so be it.

@lannistunut

LMAO at the idea that getting a delivery on a Sunday is 'entitled'! For some it is their only fucking day off!

😂
Everything is "entitled" on MN. It's the new buzz word.

@avamiah. In actual fact Amazon Prime (groceries via Morrisons) start deliveries at 8am, 7 days a week.
