I’ll go first:

Losing a pet is not the same as losing a child.

Now your turn!

I don't want to take my shoes off in other people's houses. I don't like it and it makes me uncomfortable and I do not ask people to do the same in mine.

Being divorced is not like being widowed, regardless of the reason for the divorce

OhWhyNot · 07/08/2021 10:31

I don’t know 🤷🏻‍♀️

But apparently it shouldn’t be done at all if we all did would cause some sort of catastrophe

I’m sure someone will be along to explain (and the argument was about all beaches not protected areas)

It’s one of my classics Grin

SAH v Working parents.

I mean, everyone to their own, right!

WaltzingToWalsingham · 07/08/2021 10:32

If your DC receives an invitation to another child's birthday party, you should RSVP.

And if you accept an invitation and then your DC is unwell on the day and can't make it, you should let the birthday child's parents know.

That if I'm on a low wage I should be able to claim Universal Credit despite having inheritance money in the bank.

KylieKoKo · 07/08/2021 10:34

Toilet brushes are normal household implements and less disgusting than sticking your hands into the bowl to scrub off poo.

Noshowwithoutpunch · 07/08/2021 10:34

Oh dear, maybe I should have read the titleGrin

DinosaurDiana · 07/08/2021 10:34

I think we should all have a washing up bowl.

Phineyj · 07/08/2021 10:35

I can see the beaches argument. If a million visitors take a few pebbles each, there would be no beach. But you can apply that argument to a lot of things.

The most fighty threads are normally where you can link the behaviour/opinion to people's ideas of the proper way for women, especially mums to behave.

So...how often do you wash your towels? Grin

'I feel like a single parent'

fourminutestosavetheworld · 07/08/2021 10:36

Start a post with something like, ' I had a night out with the girls and....'

It won't matter what else you say, 99% of respondents are furious that you called grown women 'girls'.

Rogue1001 · 07/08/2021 10:36

It's fine to leave washing out overnight in the garden

PairOfPears · 07/08/2021 10:36

If your partner is crap at supporting children from a previous relationship, he’ll be crap at supporting his kids with you.

And if he didn’t do the washing up before you had kids, he certainly isn’t going to start doing it after.

NeverTalkToStrangers · 07/08/2021 10:36

Toilet brushes are a reasonable thing to have in your toilet.

fourminutestosavetheworld · 07/08/2021 10:39

Allowing your child to have squash or chocolate is ok in moderation.

GarethBalesManBun · 07/08/2021 10:41

It’s good/normal to have a wash every day.

PuppyMonkey · 07/08/2021 10:41

Blocking someone's driveway is okay in some circumstances. I don't need to provide a diagram either.
