Locked parking thread 2

BlueEyesWhiteDragon · 01/08/2021 07:38

Sorry everyone I didn't post a new thread last night but I was a bit freaked out by the comment about finding me online at the end.

Anyway as the world's most boring update it is still here but someone is coming round about lunchtime to pick it up.

I rang 101 and reported it and that I was concerned they'd essentially vanished. They said there wasn't anything they could do about the car as its on private land but I could be liable for any damage if I moved it and that they would check on the registered owner.

I posted it on a couple of the local Facebook groups last night saying
"Anyone know whose cat this is? Please get them to contact me urgently on xxxx as itll be being towed tomorrow"

I had a response from the guys DS and she said she'd contact him and get him ring me. He hasn't rang me but she messaged me back to say he'd collect it at lunchtime if that was OK. I've said fine but we going out at at 2 so if he's not here before then he won't be able to get it till we get back later.

And that's it really.

This CF behaviour is next level!

Enjoy your carvery OP (and I would check your cameras when you get home)

INeedToBuyaZoo · 01/08/2021 14:42

This is my favourite parking thread of 2021

Yesitsbess · 01/08/2021 14:42

OP that's the spirit! Enjoy your lovely meal. I hope he falls off his bike with his feet clipped in the pedals. In a poo. Or some nettles. Or both.

IggyAce · 01/08/2021 14:43

He really is a CF using you for 2 days parking while he enjoys his bike ride, twat.
Hope you have a lovely lunch.

godmum56 · 01/08/2021 14:45

@happystrummer

Ahh that's the joy of yorkies....make too many and have the extras later with golden syrup...heaven
and fruit and squirty cream
Faevern · 01/08/2021 14:45

Enjoy your meal and don’t engage with any of them.

lljkk · 01/08/2021 14:45

blueEyesWD: if you could rewind to 8am yesterday morning, what if anything would you different about CF's car on your drive?

winewolfhowls · 01/08/2021 14:45

I must be getting old because I don't know which I'm enjoying more, the parking drama or the carvery talk.

Cuddlyrottweiler · 01/08/2021 14:46

@SunshineCake

Enjoy your lunch!!

Yorkshire Puddings are fine with anything but it is awful that people call them Yorkies.

Agreed, they're Yorkshires. Obviously.
BruceAndNosh · 01/08/2021 14:46

I'm opening betting...

Time of CF arriving
5.23pm

OP choice of lunch
Roast beef
Sticky toffee pudding

Any other suggestions?

REP22 · 01/08/2021 14:48

So glad for the updates - how can we nominate this and the first thread for MN Classics? (Although the first one was quite creepy at the end).

I agree with ensuring that a timestamped photo of the undamaged car in situ is taken and kept. Never underestimate the CFery capacity of a CFer.

Please can I have DB Deliveroo-ed to my house? He sounds brilliant Smile

Same here. I'm cooking a roast chicken with all the trimmings for later.
olympicsrock · 01/08/2021 14:50

Complete CF . Unbelievable. Stand your ground

Don’t forget choice of refreshment….red wine (a bottle of) with possibly a prosecco toast at the end?
PhilippaBlake · 01/08/2021 14:50

Depending on the amount of inconvenience to you, I'd be tempted to start ignoring the situation now - wait until the Forestry next need access and let them deal with it.

lovingtheheat · 01/08/2021 14:50

Honestly you've given him a chance contact the police and let them remove it.

AllyBama · 01/08/2021 14:51

I’d be getting it towed at this point. Absolute wanker, he’s taking the piss and he knows it.

DobbyTheHouseElk · 01/08/2021 14:52

Who does this.

I also think the “sister” is a hoaxer.

So cross on your behalf.

Enjoy the carvery,

StevenYerTeasReady · 01/08/2021 14:52

@CuddlyrottweilerI have more in common with the OP if you RTFT than I do the CF.

I have read both threads @gilbertsluckysock and could not disagree more with the above.

CF is an arsehole and OP isn't.

icelollycraving · 01/08/2021 14:52

I love a roast. I don’t do cavrvery though but perhaps a carvery takeaway may be ok. The car owner is really fucking rude. I wouldn’t respond to any more messages.

Thewinterofdiscontent · 01/08/2021 14:53

Oh dear. Look how much rain we’ve had and the ground is all churned up and difficult to walk through ( also covered in 2ft thick muck just by the car door).
That poor car will need a proper clean when it gets home.

Never - it's going to have to be towed

Lamb

Crumble with custard

custardbear · 01/08/2021 14:53

Bloody hell tbe CF'ery continues 😱

ifIwerenotanandroid · 01/08/2021 14:53

Bruce - 7.15pm
Lamb
Banoffee Sundae

You made me look at the menu - are you another undercover Toby tout?

Blossomtoes · 01/08/2021 14:53

I do wish people would stop saying this. It’s illegal to have someone else’s vehicle towed away. Just like it would be illegal to hotwire it and move it.
