Sorry everyone I didn't post a new thread last night but I was a bit freaked out by the comment about finding me online at the end.

Anyway as the world's most boring update it is still here but someone is coming round about lunchtime to pick it up.

I rang 101 and reported it and that I was concerned they'd essentially vanished. They said there wasn't anything they could do about the car as its on private land but I could be liable for any damage if I moved it and that they would check on the registered owner.

I posted it on a couple of the local Facebook groups last night saying
"Anyone know whose cat this is? Please get them to contact me urgently on xxxx as itll be being towed tomorrow"

I had a response from the guys DS and she said she'd contact him and get him ring me. He hasn't rang me but she messaged me back to say he'd collect it at lunchtime if that was OK. I've said fine but we going out at at 2 so if he's not here before then he won't be able to get it till we get back later.

And that's it really.

I wonder how many times people will have to point out that the OP was freaked out by @GilbertsLuckySock’s comments about finding her location, before Gilbert will apologise?

YouMadeABear · 01/08/2021 13:53

maybe he’s waiting for you to leave thinking you’ll leave the gate open for hom Confused

Agree. What a coward. Don't rush back from lunch!

NeedNewKnees · 01/08/2021 13:53

@BlueEyesWhiteDragon

I'm trying to compose a reply to his Dsis but all I've got is either an absolute rant.

I'll probably just go wit. I am now out. I will let you know when is convenient to get car from the scrap yard

Don’t bother replying.
iknowimcoming · 01/08/2021 13:53

Agree with above, don't let him have it today now, let's hope he needs the car for work tomorrow, unbelievable! Angry

PyjamaFan · 01/08/2021 13:54

I am utterly speechless. What an absolutely twat.

Well done for going out OP. I agree with a PP about not replying to any further messages while you are out.

This man clearly behaves like this all the time.

IveGotASongThatllGetOnYNerves · 01/08/2021 13:54

Add "the gate will not be left unlocked at any point. I am not invalidating my insurance because your brother thinks my private property is his car park. He will get his car at my convenience, not his".

Redtartanshoes · 01/08/2021 13:55

Open the gate? Not a chance.. I’d be nailing the cheeky fucker to it.

MrsRussell · 01/08/2021 13:55

At what point does this become an abandoned vehicle, OP?

With full 7 day notice from the council else it gets scrapped thing?

Am wondering if his sister has actually lured him out to the forest and buried him somewhere and this is all an elaborate alibi...

JudgeJ · 01/08/2021 13:55
@GreyEyedWitch which ones? Because I don’t see them.
Err, because they werre deleted maybe?

Mrgrinch · 01/08/2021 13:55

I'd call the police at this stage to be honest. Cheeky fucking fuckers.

TheAwfuITruth · 01/08/2021 13:56

Don't reply!

They have had the info they need. Stop dancing to their tune.

Go get pissed, then arrange for it to be towed.

Batsy · 01/08/2021 13:56

i'd remove the wheels at this point and demand payment for its release and overnight storage.

Bornin1989 · 01/08/2021 13:56

He knows he's winding you up - he's playing a game. Don't engage, pretend the car isn't there - go about life in general. Until he comes to your door with an apology, just leave it there. Just go out, or pretend to be out for at least another 24 hours.

Don't engage with the sister any more either.

I second putting the truck in front of the gates though, in case he's hoping to smash through them or use bolt cutters when you're out.

BananasAboutBananas · 01/08/2021 13:56

Don't reply, and just go out. Now.

Heffapotamus · 01/08/2021 13:56

Delete everything on FB, block his sister, go out, contact FC in the morning saying CF is blocking their ROW.
CF made his bed and needs to lie in it. No more effort on your part. His thoughtlessness has effectively robbed you of your weekend 🤬

NoProblem123 · 01/08/2021 13:56

Go out. Message Sis that no one turned up. Don’t be available until Wednesday.

The CF has no shame !

70isaLimitNotaTarget · 01/08/2021 13:57

You need some of these to stand guard ....

I’d also block his sister on fb. She’s enabling his entitled-ness

minisoksmakehardwork · 01/08/2021 13:57

@Snazzysausage

It wouldn't surprise me if the CF turns up while OP's out, with bolt cutters, to extricate the car. He's already demonstrated he's got balls the size of a baked bean - if that.
This is what I would be concerned about too. I hope you're able to prevent cf from doing this, especially if either it's just your dad or an empty property.

I can't help but imagine he's watching for you guys to go.

MumDad1958 · 01/08/2021 13:57

I agree that you should call police.

BananasAboutBananas · 01/08/2021 13:57

And also remove the toys and sign - don't allow him to think that you think this is funny. Seriously, he's fucking outrageous.

GojuRyuLover · 01/08/2021 13:57

Have the car towed! So he has to pay to have it released. Let his sister know where he can find his car

Mountainpika · 01/08/2021 13:58

My cuddly animals all want to come and help. They're practising their fiercest growls. Ask yours to send a telepathic message to tell them where to come, please, @BlueEyesWhiteDragon.

minisoksmakehardwork · 01/08/2021 13:58

And absolutely leave the dogs loose while you're away from property.

PyjamaFan · 01/08/2021 13:58

Yes, move the toys. This is not funny and if he thinks you are amused he will think his behaviour is OK. Which it isn't.
