Sorry everyone I didn't post a new thread last night but I was a bit freaked out by the comment about finding me online at the end.

Anyway as the world's most boring update it is still here but someone is coming round about lunchtime to pick it up.

I rang 101 and reported it and that I was concerned they'd essentially vanished. They said there wasn't anything they could do about the car as its on private land but I could be liable for any damage if I moved it and that they would check on the registered owner.

I posted it on a couple of the local Facebook groups last night saying
"Anyone know whose cat this is? Please get them to contact me urgently on xxxx as itll be being towed tomorrow"

I had a response from the guys DS and she said she'd contact him and get him ring me. He hasn't rang me but she messaged me back to say he'd collect it at lunchtime if that was OK. I've said fine but we going out at at 2 so if he's not here before then he won't be able to get it till we get back later.

And that's it really.

That's down to the FC. I've seen them tow vehicles too, however that is the FC, not a private individual.

And I've actually read both threads fully. If the "poor man" had just knocked on OPs door in the first place, apologised and asked to be let out, instead of shuffling his kids over the gates twice no less, this would have been resolved yesterday. Instead, he decided to just sod off home making no attempts to extricate himself from a situation purely of his own making.

idontunderstandbananas · 01/08/2021 13:08

I agree with a pp on the other thread telling CF driver it was ok to park for a few mins was your mistake OP but now he's just taking the piss.
I can't believe the man and children have been back twice (that you know of) crawling through fences to get onto what they must realise now is private property to get things in and out of their truck. Shock It does seem they think your private parking is free secure storage for their truck and that your property is in fact a public space.
I wouldn't feel sorry for them OP I would be pissed off that they thought it ok to park on private property, continue to come and go from private property without a word to you and leave the truck there for days.

Some woman claiming to be the driver's sister was on your local FB page so she (whoever she is) must live somewhat locally? Have you updated the page to say CF truck is still there and the driver has been back twice?

If the CF driver is sending his sister, I think you should send your brother or at least have him with you as you don't know who will actually turn up, we know this family is CF. I would also leave your truck behind the CF truck because CF might try to damage your fence in an attempt to get out and it will be much more difficult to do that with your truck between his and the fence.

The worst I ever had was a woman who repeatedly let her kids into the garden to play on the trampoline at the end of every walk and had a picnic on the tables! She wasn't even sorry. I've never ever seen anything like it but secretly almost admired the pure cheek of her

I have never lived rurally so have no idea about farms but does your property look like a business or a residential dwelling? If it looks like a business maybe people think the tables and trampoline and parking are more 'available' than if it was a residential property? I can't imagine someone walking down a road, spotting a trampoline and saying 'OK kids go play in random person's back garden and then we'll use their patio table for our lunch'.

Is there a way to put up fencing or trellising to make your back garden look more like a private residential back garden? Also maybe more signs that say 'CCTV RECORDING' 'PRIVATE RESIDENCE' 'NO PARKING, GATE LOCKED' or whatever to make it REALLY clear.

It would make me nervous having women with children, CF driver and his kids and any other random person turning up on my property, crawling through my gates, ignoring my signs and doing whatever they want on my property. I agree with you (previous thread) that if you were a burly man you might not be having these problems OP. Could you turn this into a community problem to solve? Maybe others in your areas have had a similar problem with people parking on their lands? How can you solve this as a community?

SchadenfreudePersonified · 01/08/2021 13:09

f you can work out where OP lives from her little pen diagram of a house, a driveway, a footpath and a car park then that's impressive!

It's the forest of cock-and-balls trees.

They're very distinctive.

lastcall · 01/08/2021 13:09

I agree with the poster who said make a point of taking pictures of the car when he shows up. And him. If he dares complain, you can point out he's shown he's arrogant and entitled and doesn't care about anyone else's property or value their time, so you obviously need to protect yourself from someone who behaves in that manner.

are we actually SURE that the person who replied on facebook actually is in any way related to the original CF? could they be a merry joker who decicded to join in the fun?

Sssloou · 01/08/2021 13:10

@GilbertsLuckySock

OP have you phoned the CF? They’re very quick to deal with obstruction situations. Posting on Facebook was mistake, I’d remove that quick as it risks repercussions for you.
Of course posting on FB wasn’t a mistake - for the OP - as this is how the CFs “sister” made contact ….. but it’s v humiliating locally for the delusion, grandiose CF donkey as him and his car will be easily identifiable locally!!! And no doubt nationally once it hits the national press - he must be squirming!!!

But he still has the opportunity to not come across as a total twunt by turning up face to face and graciously apologising with a gift …. if he’s reading - all is not lost….

@70isaLimitNotaTarget

Just adding that I've made up a batch of Yorkshire Pudding batter rather than getting the Aunt Bessies out of the frezeer , re-create the Toby Carvery experience .

*other Yorkshire Pudding brands are on the market

  • other Carvery establishments are available

My homemade Yorkshires will be inhaled by DS

Do you have a failsafe, idiotproof recipe? I forget to order some frozen ones & am going to make my own today. Never done it before.

Shit! I didn't think of that!

Tic toc Cheeky Parking Fucker !!

Coffeepot72 · 01/08/2021 13:14

Once the car has been removed, can someone PLEASE tell us the story of the women whose children used the trampoline and picnic tables? We need some more entertainment on a wet Sunday afternoon!

AuntLydiasNewHairdo · 01/08/2021 13:18

I'd let anyone with the keys take the bloody car away tbh to get it over with. Hope it's gone before your lunch OP.

android the one I use is the Good Food recipe

140g plain flour
4 eggs
200ml milk
salt/pepper

whisk together , leave to stand a while (mine won;t go in till this thread gets resolved at least 3pm )

230c (says 20-25 minutes but iit's less in my oven, I give them 15-20)

I use two of the 4 pan YP tins .
Heat till they're smokin' with a teaspoon oil

Whenn you pour it should sizzle .

I bought a new oven recently , glass door , light and a fan that works Grin it is a joy to see them cook .

They beat the pants off Aunt Bessies Wink

Lots of Yorkshire pudding advice there.

Apologies for off topic.

These threads have kept making me disproportionately hungry.

whynotwhatknot · 01/08/2021 13:22

Bloody nora has he still not been back for it

SchadenfreudePersonified · 01/08/2021 13:22

If it’s not their car, where would they get the keys?

That didn't occur to me until after I'd posted, and then I thought - "There must be ways of getting into cars illegally - thieves do it all the time"

So I left it. Grin

70isaLimitNotaTarget · 01/08/2021 13:23

TBH , I'd be so pissed off by now Id let anyone who could jemmy the door and hotwire it have it Wink

Redglitter · 01/08/2021 13:24

And also make it clear I'd only open the gate for the original driver. After all, you've seen him with the car, so know he's the driver, and you've no evidence that anyone is really connected with the idiot so you can't possibly release the car to just anyone

Thats just crazy. If someone, anyone, turns up to get the car let them. Get rid of the damn thing. Shes not releasing the car to anyone shes going to be opening the gates to let it out. So long as someone turns up with the keys for the car rather than a tow truck then clearly they have permission to drive it. There's nothing to be gained for the OP by playing games

Thanks. Another poster having a roast today that wouldn't usually due to the OP. And now possibly making my own yorkies to go with it which I've never done before.

Shocked that the car is yet to be collected. For all CF knows you have been waiting for him to arrive so you can bath/shower and get ready for going out to lunch.

viques · 01/08/2021 13:26

Just strolling by, nothing to see here at all. Binoculars? What binoculars? Oh those binoculars. Oh yes, might do a bit of bird watching as I am strolling. Never know what you might catch sight of .

I use this recipe, too, but half quantities.

They're delicious!

JayAlfredPrufrock · 01/08/2021 13:26

Would these be the theives who have identified the OPs house from her diagram and hacked into the facebook group to make an arrangement to turn up "at lunchtime" Grin

Not long to wait now

70isaLimitNotaTarget · 01/08/2021 13:28

And just because CF Parker drove the car doesn't mean it is his car . It might belong to his DSis .
The children might not be his they might be his neices/nephews

KateTheEighth · 01/08/2021 13:28

This is all you need to know

Equal amounts. Do away with numbers of eggs and grams of flour and ml of milk.

Oh and a v hot oven and lots of oil
