I have felt sick and tired all day. Can't get comfortable, didn't sleep last night etc. Is anyone actually enjoying it as I am certainly not. Dreading work tomorrow also.

@Secondbellini

No. It is like being in a giant burning wicker man.

GreeboIsMySpiritAnimal · 18/07/2021 20:12

Yep. Loving it. Wish the rest of you would stop fecking moaning, quite frankly.

Benjispruce5 · 18/07/2021 20:14

I like it up to 25c so 31 is a bit much for me but I have fans and I’m using them. I don’t sit in the sun, walked the dog early etc.

ouchmyfeet · 18/07/2021 20:16

I could handle it if I had literally nothing to do, but I've had a really busy weekend and the heat/sweat has been absolutely disgusting

dapsnotplimsolls · 18/07/2021 20:16

Hate it. I don't like it above 20 degrees so this is 'orrible.

Benjispruce5 · 18/07/2021 20:16

Posted too soon.Went out for lunch by a river and table had lots of shade, a couple of icy G&Ts and I was cool enough.

OliveHenry · 18/07/2021 20:16

Hate it. Have spent the weekend working in a bar, doing table service inside and out with no shade or cooling, and wearing all black.

Bring back the rain!

badacorn · 18/07/2021 20:18

Hating it. Bring back the crap weather I love. Grin

NotMyCat · 18/07/2021 20:18

I'm a redhead who is (actually) allergic to heat. No Angry I'm not enjoying

Why - not arguing with you for revelling in it (as incomprehensible as that is to me)
Nietzschethehiker · 18/07/2021 20:20

For me today I have loved it. We have been able to do things we haven't in ages. But I totally get why people don't. My df is very unwell and this heat is making it a lot worse.

I lost a lot of weight a few years ago and prior to that hear was fucking brutal and I hated the summer with a passion

Exdh suffers with hayfever horrendously and DP is Welsh and quite frnaky not remotely built for the heat so he just looks miserable the poor bugger.

It's not really hard to consider why people might not like it.

Whitewolf2 · 18/07/2021 20:21

I agree it’s not enjoyable it’s just horribly hot, particularly with young children who get overheated, grumpy and tired as they can’t sleep

itsgettingwierd · 18/07/2021 20:22

It's not bothering me.

I'm not one to be out in it all day frying as it just doesn't appeal to me but I can be out in it if I have plans and will make plans even if it's a hot day.

Shehasadiamondinthesky · 18/07/2021 20:24

@Theneverendingcleaningcycle

Nope. Hate it. Hose me down.
i hosed myself down in the garden earlier, it was lovely.
DrCoconut · 18/07/2021 20:24

Yesterday was finally hot and I got stung by a bee 😫. Today has been nice and fresh yet warm. Unfortunately the forecast for the first few days of the school holidays is grim with cooler weather and loads of rain (again). Just when we're booked to go camping. We need a prolonged period of nice warm sunny weather rather than jumping from 18C and pouring for weeks to 30C for a day or two then back to cloudy and wet. There's no natural acclimatisation like you would get with more seasonal weather.

whynotwhatknot · 18/07/2021 20:25

no its uncomfrtable ive never liked it i obviously coped better a a child but its just horrendous now

i wish some people would be considerate of others feelings

Slimmingstar

Love it! Spent the weekend hiking Nude in the Peak District and wild swimming. Dog loved it too - in and out of the water and a cool, wet tea towel around his neck.

I'm intrigued by this poster. Very daring but don't you get looks ?

TheVolturi · 18/07/2021 20:27

No it's too hot. Especially nights! And the sun is definitely hotter than it was when I was younger!

whenwillthemadnessend · 18/07/2021 20:30

Yes as I'm up north in hols and it's a lovely 27 here. Even got in the North Sea today

ItsSnowJokes · 18/07/2021 20:30

Nope it's shit. I'm menopausal, ginger and hate the heat! 20-24 does me fine. This is impossible to sleep in, my house is like an oven I have 3 fans in the bedroom so it's like sleeping in a bloody helicopter and I just want cooler weather again.

troppibambini6 · 18/07/2021 20:30

Love it!
Spent the day in the garden while the kids play in the paddling pool. Just had pasta and wine in the garden just enjoying feeling warm. I got up early and got any chores done before it's gets too hot.

Window1 · 18/07/2021 20:33

Nope.

Not at all.

If I had air conditioning and my own pool I'd say different. But I don't.

VerySmallPears · 18/07/2021 20:34

I love it. It’s only at about 27C that I feel my muscles relaxing and I can wear short sleeves and a skirt with bare legs.

I appreciate others don’t like it, but for me this is glorious.
