Where will you be watching the final tomorrow?

I know not everyone will be watching but just interested to see the consensus.

I.e. at home, at a friends house or party, a fan zone, a pub, Wembley etc.

I'll either be at home or just going to a friends. There'd probably be a lot more in pubs if not for the restrictions. Having to book etc will put people off (and it being a Sunday night).

I have no idea about football so will be watching in the background at home whilst playing board games with my husband. Hopefully Twitter will keep us updated with what's going on! We've made a little snack spread with only red and white food that could feed both teams.

snoin · 11/07/2021 16:35

I won't be lectured by anyone about tolernace who comes from or lives in a country that voted for Brexit, has Priti Patel as Home Secretary, and Johnson as Prime Minister. You really must be having a laugh.

snoin · 11/07/2021 16:35

tolerance*

suckingonchillidogs · 11/07/2021 16:37

Bloody hell @snoin, you still rambling on? Must live in a very dull place if this is all you can find to do.

KarenofSparta · 11/07/2021 16:41

Snoin you're really getting on my tits now. You do realise that almost half of us wanted to remain?

Why drag all that shitty politics into this tonight and just let people feel good and upbeat for a change?

DFOD.

You're on the Italian wine already, aren't you? You are proper fuming.

Now you’re just being goady. The majority of British Citizens didn’t vote for Brexit (either voted Remain or didn’t vote at all), had no say in who was appointed Home Secretary and didn’t vote for Boris either (again, either voted for another party or didn’t vote at all).

You can’t really say that it is the fault of every person living in Wales, England, Scotland or N.I. that they come from/ live in a country with the current government, not everybody can afford to move and to be honest a lot of other European governments are at least as corrupt, racist and intolerant as our own.

Surprised you'd know anything about having a laugh considering how up your own arse you sound.
Keepemguessing · 11/07/2021 17:11

I'll be in my local pub.

I thought you were Scottish, so aren't you from the country which did all of that. We are the United Kingdom after all.
Furries · 11/07/2021 17:18

Snoin’s posts are one if the best things about this thread!

I find it fascinating that someone keeps coming back, to deliver their oh-so-educated drivel. It’s like having a little toy with a key in the back, that can’t help themselves once that key is turned.

Anyway, roll on 8pm - today seems to be going so slowly!

Dear oh dear. You do realise don't you that only a proportion of people voted for this govt? The Brexit vote was v narrow and again, only a proportion of people turned out to vote.
None of us voted priti Patel as Home Secretary because thats a govtal decision.

It's a bit daft to make sweeping statements about a whole country's voting habits.

How about we assume all of Hungary supports Victor Orban?
All of America Trump?

And while we're on the subject, have you read anything lately about the far right in France and Italy?

Or, are you just insulting people because you haven't got a coherent argument.

mogsrus · 11/07/2021 17:35

RufustheBadgeringReindeer · 11/07/2021 17:36

Oooh should answer the question

Dh, ds1 and ds1 partner and my dad will be watching

I will be in the room when its on…ds2 might pop down from his room but he doesn’t care and neither does dd

Sparklingbrook · 11/07/2021 17:37

The question being asked is where will you be watching the match. Not will you be.

I don't understand why you'd post if you aren't going to be watching at all. You aren't the only one though. Confused

Echobelly · 11/07/2021 17:39

I'll start watching it, but if it's close I'll probably leave the room as I can't stand the tension. I'll probably only keep watching it if Italy are 2-0 up at end of 2nd half or something as then I can be fairly sure it won't be too nailbiting.

This is why I don't like watching competitive sport - either I have no skin in the game and it's just boring, but when there is emotional investment, even on other people's behalf like this, I can't bear the suspense!

mbosnz · 11/07/2021 17:41

We'll watch it at home, and God I wish everyone could behave themselves, and everyone would make it safe home tonight, that goes out. And that everyone at home would be safe afterwards. So far, I might as well clap my hands and believe fervently in fairies, for how likely that seems!

vodkaredbullgirl · 11/07/2021 17:43

Anyone watching The Italian Job?

IcedPurple · 11/07/2021 17:45

And while we're on the subject, have you read anything lately about the far right in France and Italy?

Italian politics was dominated by the bufoonish Silvio 'bunga bunga' Berlusconi for many years. Their current government is nothing to write home about. If you're going to support football teams because of their country's political culture, Italy would be a strange choice.

Me too. It feels like other people's happiness hinges on this.

DH, and the DSs would be thrilled if England win, they are all watching elsewhere. I'll have it on but not concentrating too hard on it. Grin The atmosphere at work tomorrow will be great too if they win.
