Where will you be watching the final tomorrow?

I know not everyone will be watching but just interested to see the consensus.

I.e. at home, at a friends house or party, a fan zone, a pub, Wembley etc.

I'll either be at home or just going to a friends. There'd probably be a lot more in pubs if not for the restrictions. Having to book etc will put people off (and it being a Sunday night).

@ThursdayWeld

I think I'll go and find a forum that is mostly fully of Italians and go on multiple threads to tell them how dreadful I think Italy is, how I won't be supporting their awful football team, and how glad I am not to live there.

I wouldn't look at all odd if I did that, would I?

Not remotely odd Grin It would have been like going on an Andy Murray thread when he was playing the in the final at Wimbledon and sayng I hate Scotland, so does all of Europe, I hope he loses and so does all of Europe.
StartingAgain33 · 11/07/2021 13:52

@thursdayweld amazing idea! I might see if I can convince friend and her dh 😂

Therealjudgejudy · 11/07/2021 14:14

If it were about any other country or nation it would be racist/xenophobic ...

🙄

Oh yes @3Britnee - you're always the victims aren't you. Poor little (literally) England.

You really need to get your head out of your backside and grow up We get it you hate England and everything about it.
snoin · 11/07/2021 15:15

I will ask again, do tell me where I have used the word 'hate'?

What do you have against English people, and people from all of the UK/Great Britain, celebrating something? Coming together and being united or proud of their nation and all rooting for something together?

Why do you want to be so bitter and miserable and divisive, and bring it all down? After the 18m we've all had?

What is wrong with you?

3Britnee · 11/07/2021 15:22

Is your life that shit?

snoin · 11/07/2021 15:28

People from all of the UK aren't supporting England. Is it that difficult for you to comprehend? The England football team doesn't represent Scotland, Wales or Northern Ireland. And the island of Great Britain isn't just England.

Yes, I agree, the last 18 months have been difficult - for the whole world. Not just England. Gosh I'd almost forgotten how self absorbed England is.

The whole of England is self absorbed?

I'm finding your posts so funny.

No you are not supporting England, you do not however get to speak for the whole of the UK or indeed Continental Europe Pretty sure you are on a wind up however.

Mansolaining is so last year.

We’re now being Snoinsplained”.

Jesus wept.

I can only think you’re very unhappy Snoin. Because your level of -hatred- dislike of England and the English (because you’ve met us all) is just so ridiculous.

I’m imagining you as someone with very ground-down toothy stumps and piles on tooth enamel all over your roof terrace and around the rim of your Italian wine.

Grilledaubergines · 11/07/2021 15:47

Sorry for the typos. I’m sitting on my English roof terrace drinking English wine.

3Britnee · 11/07/2021 15:49

😂😂😂

BillyIsMyBunny · 11/07/2021 15:58

I grew up in Wales, once Wales were knocked out of the competition the vast majority of my Welsh friends and family have switched to supporting England. I do know a small handful of Welsh people who are supporting Italy because they are so anti-English but they are a small minority and mostly people who aren’t particularly nice/ open-minded in real life. Most nice people I know are pleased to see any of the home nations, even if not their national team, get through to a sporting final.

As most normal people would.
PurpleDaisies · 11/07/2021 16:00

Same here. I’m supporting England tonight. Gareth Southgate has made that an easy decision. Rugby-that’s harder.

yes that’s my thinking. If wales, Northern Ireland or Scotland were in a competition that England were out of I’d be wholeheartedly supporting them. Because, why wouldn’t you?
SecretSpAD · 11/07/2021 16:09

The whole of England is self absorbed?

Err, please correct me if I'm wrong but it is England and Italy who are in the game tonight isn't it? Not any other country?

I'm trying to see how that means we're self absorbed......

SecretSpAD · 11/07/2021 16:14

@PurpleDaisies rugby is indeed tricky....especially the 6 nations. In this house it is -

England until it looks like they are not going to win or get knocked out.
Then
Scotland - me due to Scottish grandfather but Wales for husband and kids cos he's welsh and so are they
Then
Ireland me due to Irish ancestors and Scotland for the rest to do Scottish ancestors
Then France cos Celts
Always feel sorry for Italy as it was obvious they were only allowed to join the 5 nations to always be the loser.

Oh and if it's the World Cup and Nigeria - maternal grandmother - is also playing it all becomes even more complicated 🤣🤣🤣

Rubyupbeat · 11/07/2021 16:14

Neither me nor oh like football, so won't be watching.

santabetterwashhishands · 11/07/2021 16:15

At home with my partner,16 year old son and 7 year old daughter (she's guaranteed to fall asleep before half time 🤣)

3Britnee · 11/07/2021 16:19

I dont like football normally. I grew up 3 roads away from a major football ground and all the bollocks that brings with it on match days. Road closures etc.

But this is fucking epic. and I might just be a fan now

3Britnee · 11/07/2021 16:26

I'll say one thing before I go and get ready to cheer for England on a spanish bar terrace drinking American coke zero, the Jamaican motto 'out of many come one' is more fitting nowadays than a certain posters' vitriol. That attitude isn't welcome any more.
