I know not everyone will be watching but just interested to see the consensus.

I.e. at home, at a friends house or party, a fan zone, a pub, Wembley etc.

I'll either be at home or just going to a friends. There'd probably be a lot more in pubs if not for the restrictions. Having to book etc will put people off (and it being a Sunday night).

I haven't watched any matches so far, but this seems like such an important shared national experience, I feel like I should make the effort. I might invite myself around to my friends house who are football mad so I can piggyback on their enthusiasm 😊

marcopront · 10/07/2021 12:37

At home, hopefully it is on YouTube as no telly.
Can't go out as there is a curfew here.

VestaTilley · 10/07/2021 12:37

At home, reluctantly making DH watch it with me Grin

Hoping our toddler sleeps through the noise from the nearby pub; he didn’t last week!

DancesWithTortoises · 10/07/2021 12:37

No one here is interested.

lollipoprainbow · 10/07/2021 12:40

At home with snacks and dd 9 and her dad, I wanted to watch in a pub so my dd could get the experience but they are charging for tables sod that !!

PurpleDaisies · 10/07/2021 12:41

At home with dh.

I don’t care who wins. I hate the tribalism of competitive sports. I have never had a competitive bone in my body. I also can’t comprehend how people can get excited about kicking a ball around. As long as the match is fair, then the best team will win obviously.

WallaceinAnderland · 10/07/2021 12:46

It depends. What time is it on? And what channel?

you didn't actually answer the question so why did you bother posting?

is it you who posts on dog threads that they hate dogs?

Nobody asked who you want to win or what you feel about anything. The question was where are you watching the match...
Angel2702 · 10/07/2021 12:48

At home. Some neighbours have arranged a big screen to go on the green in our street but not sure if we will go outside or just stay and watch on our own tv.

Penners99 · 10/07/2021 12:48

Not watching

ZingDramaQueenOfSheeba · 10/07/2021 12:50

Not watching

SimonJT · 10/07/2021 12:50

At home, my husband is having a few mates over so they can watch it together.

@WallaceinAnderland

8pm kick off.
all games were on either BBC or ITV, I'm guessing BBC (not gonna check now)

TheLovelinessOfDemons · 10/07/2021 12:54

At home. Probably watching it on my phone with the sound turned off next to a sleeping DS2.

aiwblam · 10/07/2021 12:54

I am Shock at the poster’s dh who will be supporting Italy because he’s Scottish. It just seems hateful. I am no more than a passing interest in this match and whilst my family watch it at home, I’ll probably be watching bits of it whilst doing admin/sorting. But to actively support Italy against a home nation is really odd. If he was neutral, that would be reasonable, but to support Italy based on dislike of English neighbours is, I don’t know, a bit grotty. We’re not supposed to be hating each other and wishing loss in 2021 are we?!

drpet49 · 10/07/2021 12:56

Friends house

Roselilly36 · 10/07/2021 12:58

I will be at home watching with my lovely DH and DS’s, can’t wait everyone is excited, champagne on ice, whatever the result. @ZingDramaQueenOfSheeba I thought DS1 would wear a hole in the carpet 🤣 pacing about constantly!

worktrip · 10/07/2021 13:00

Through my fingers, yes.

worktrip · 10/07/2021 13:01

And stop saying 'it's coming home'. We've never won the euros, so I can't be coming home.....

PollyDarton1 · 10/07/2021 13:01

Through my fingers, with my heart rate in the 90s no doubt.

But from home. I had a 4.5 year old DS who will be asleep (he's more into tennis) and a DH that despite saying he doesn't care, will probably care on the night.

I've watched all tournaments since Italia 90 Grin

Football originated in England. That's why we say it's coming home.
RuthW · 10/07/2021 13:04

I won't we watching thankfully.

Enjoy it if it's your thing.

ThursdayWeld · 10/07/2021 13:11

@worktrip

And stop saying 'it's coming home'. We've never won the euros, so I can't be coming home.....
But we invented it. Which is why our Football Association is the only one in the world that doesn't have a country initial ahead of it. So - IT'S COMING HOOOOME!!!!!

I will be watching it with snacks. And family. And snacks.
