There should be no England fans at final IMO

I cannot believe there is not more disgust at the actions of one (or more) English fan(s).

Aside from trying to cheat way to an England victory by distracting the goalkeeper during a penalty, lasers are phenomenally dangerous to eyes. The goalkeeper could have retinal damage.

I think a “lesser” nation would have been kicked out, but England won’t. But in my view the fans should be banned - there has to be consequences for criminal actions. Otherwise it will happen again.

Suspect I’ll be in the minority but it’s frankly embarrassing we have fans who do this.

@FrangipaniDeLaSqueegeeMop exactly

Some of these posts are batshit

@FrangipaniDeLaSqueegeeMop

Difference is England equalised straight away. Denmark let England straight back in it, perhaps as they knew their goal was contentious. It was even an own goal so they've purposely evened the score.

@User135644

Right I'm calling troll now because NO ONE can surely believe that Denmark 'let' England even the score out through guilt 🤣🤣

England didn't go down the other end and score an own goal to even out the injustice.

Why the fuck would they?

Cards in the table - are you taking the piss now? Do you understand the rules of football?

No. Watch the game back. Denmark scored and then pretty much stopped playing for the next 5-10 minutes. They allowed England to get back in the game, perhaps because they knew they'd scored a contentious goal.
FrangipaniDeLaSqueegeeMop · 09/07/2021 13:01

Match stats:

58% England possession
21 England attempts. Only 6 Denmark attempts
10 England shots on target. Only 3 Denmark shots on target
England carried out 10 fouls against Danish players. Denmark Carried out 21 against English players

But yeah, person who knows nothing whatsoever about football, Denmark were simply ROBBED by cheating bastards that were England 🤣🤣🤣

This is genuinely the funniest thread I've seen in ages

User135644 · 09/07/2021 13:02

They were so obviously brought on to take down the big England players. Re watch it and see for yourself. If that's not cheating I don't know what is

They were happy to settle for a penalty shootout. But for Sterling's dying swan act they'd have probably got it.

FrangipaniDeLaSqueegeeMop · 09/07/2021 13:03

😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂

You MUST be taking the piss now.

You actually think Denmark altruistically conceded a goal through guilt.

What you mean is they stopped playing well for 5-10 minutes after their goal, because they're just not a strong enough team. It's not uncommon for teams to sit back and relax a little after scoring the first goal

That's your take. People are free to make up their own minds of why they just suddenly stopped playing after they scored.

That's quite a claim, but even if they were 'happy to settle' so fucking what - should England have done the same? No?

As I said before you know nothing about penalty awards. Sterling had contact from both his left and right side within the penalty area. The fact it was 'soft' contact makes no difference. Themz the rules.

Maybe though for Sunday, the professionals including the experienced referees, linesmen and VAR adjudicators should contact YOU in the event of something similar seeing as apparently you know better than them 🤣🤣

And i can say "it's because the nice Danes felt bad so let England score" is total and utter batshit crazy.

How about I decide "Well obviously they stopped playing well because they must have had stones in their shoes and felt a bit hungry". I could come out with any bollocks theory I like, it doesn't mean it can stick.

sparepantsandtoothbrush · 09/07/2021 13:08

"That's your take. People are free to make up their own minds of why they just suddenly stopped playing after they scored*

No team in the world is going to let their opposition get on top just because they feel a bit sorry for them. Especially in a semi final!! You honestly think they had a little chat and decided to hold off for a few minutes just so poor little England could score a goal to make it fair?

You obviously have zero clue about football if you genuinely believe what you're saying

LetsGoFlyAKiteee · 09/07/2021 13:12

Think the only time a team has let another score in recent times anyway was Leeds..they stood away and did it however. Denmark relaxed. Maybe a bit to much. Mistakes made and bam.

VAR however..has shown many times during the season its not the best thing that has been introduced recently.

Bovrilly · 09/07/2021 13:13

I have to keep re-reading this post because my brain can't compute how stupid it is.

If you watched the game, you'll remember Schmeichel made a great save just before the own goal. Why didn't he let that one in, if they felt they should even up the score?

Bovrilly · 09/07/2021 13:15

But for Sterling's dying swan act they'd have probably got it.

You mean the foul given by the referee and confirmed by VAR?

That chance was an example of the rest of the team totally switched off. Sterling was left in acres of space. Sterling with the goal to aim at, hit that straight at Schmeichel. 30 seconds later the Danes score in their own net.

So did Schmichel accidentally save it or did the other players say "Oh fuck we forgot to tell Kaspar about the plan to let England concede. D'oh!"???
Bovrilly · 09/07/2021 13:22

@User135644
Why do you think Denmark committed so many fouls? Were they trying to get someone sent off as a penance for their goal?

Are you saying that Schmeichel would have let it in, but he just couldn't get out of the way quick enough? 😂😂
FrangipaniDeLaSqueegeeMop · 09/07/2021 13:24

It's the most hilarious and ludicrous football theory I've ever heard.

I mean why even keep players on the pitch? Why not just let them sit on the bench with a packet of crisps and a Capri Sun while they benevolently let England scores a goal a minute?

FuckingFabulous · 09/07/2021 13:24

You're the kind of person who thinks it's ok to blast a city apart to find one terrorist, aren't you?

No-one can be that daft can they? Purposely evened the score GrinGrinGrin I can only assume you know nothing about football, didn't see the attack, the goal, or Kjaer's face afterwards.

singingsoprano · 09/07/2021 13:29

@LaserPointer

So had England lost 2-1 after Pickford had been dazzled by danish supporters when trying to save the winning penalty then all of you would have accepted that?

The hypocrisy……

But I know you’ll never admit it. Winning - even if by cheating - is all that counts.

@LaserPointer. Don't be so ridiculous. Schmeichel could have alerted the referee and it did not impact on the penalty kick!
MarshaBradyo · 09/07/2021 13:29

Haha at purposely evened the score

User135644 · 09/07/2021 13:29

Are you saying that Schmeichel would have let it in

No, Schmeichel is very competitive and plays in the PL. Just saying it was a bad miss and then a minute later it's an own goal.

Bovrilly · 09/07/2021 13:33

Was he not part of the plan to even up the score to make up for the free kick then? Because he's competitive and plays in the PL? Doing my best to follow the logic here but you're not making it easy.
TheRosesOfSuccess · 09/07/2021 13:33

I honestly think it's the funniest defence (ha) of a viewpoint I've ever seen on MN
