**@Bovrilly* @Romanoff* see this is kinda my point. The defensiveness over takes any common sense.
I'm not saying it's all England but the post I'm responding too is about England fans. If it were about Welsh, Ukrainian fans etc behaving in the same way, my posts wouldn't change.
@FrangipaniDeLaSqueegeeMop please don't insinuate anyones happy to ignore racism or homophobia and use that as a basis prove your point or to try to minimise what they are being investigated for.
It's all wrong and they (all teams, not just England don't get your knickers in a twist) still need to be held accountable whether its racism, homophobia, shining lasers in people's eyes, setting off fireworks etc etc etc.
But you are missing the point.
Of course people are going to say 'what about?'
Because op is suggesting England fan are banned based on behaviours also exhibited by other countries fans. Denmark booed Wales, Denmark let smoke bombs off, Denmark should have been allowed the first goal and technically cheated.
You can't work it like that. If one country or its fans are banned, all countries exhibiting the same and worse behaviour have to be banned.
But no one ever calls for Ukraine, to be banned, for example.
And I can't be defensive because I am not a football fan, though I saw some replays as do is.....and I am not English
Absolutely, people need to held accountable. England have been fined and they are trying to locate whoever had the laser.
No one on this thread has suggested it's OK or than nothing should happen. But also England shouldn't face bigger sanctions than other teams.
Its disingenuous to say that this isn't doesn't have some Anti English Sentiment driving it.
If they are going to start banning teams and fans for certain behaviour, that's fine. Just do it across the board.
