To hope someone can help me to remember this early 90s cartoon?

I first tried to remember this animated series about 20 years ago, and I think of it every few years but get nowhere. Googling never throws up the right programme, and you're about to realise why: I recall almost nothing about it

Here's what I recall:

CITV
Very early 90s, maybe late 80s but I'm fairly sure it's 90 something.
Theme tune reminded me of Ordinary World by Duran Duran
Animated
Set on an island/group of islands
Opening credits are an aerial view of the island (s)

It is not Charlie Chalk or Cockleshell Bay. It probably wasn't very long-lived.

I'm not holding out much hope, and appreciate that's not much to go on. Please help me to lay this to rest!

It probably isn't the Moomins, but that had kind of slightly trippy music (I think). While we here, Vicky the Viking was another one I can clearly remember but no one else I know seems to have ever heard of it!

@Pinkrinse I loved Fragile Rock! Not sure if the theme tune OP described would match though? Fraggle Rock had quite a happy, upbeat singalong one.

Not quite sure when these were on but my kids loved Pigeon Street and Rhubarb and Custard and Mary,Mungo and Midge,Mr Ben, however I don't think many of these were on an island

@purplebunny2012 I rewatched the Chocky series as an adult. They were still pretty scary. A lovely person has told me it is Kappatoo.

The Get Along Gang was definitely aired here around the mid 80s, I’d have been 9 or 10 when I used to watch it.

I loved Portia the porcupine on her Roller skates, I desperately wanted her in soft toy version but never got her!

I think so, I remember it was very badly dubbed into English. Still remember the theme tune!
