To buy a second pair of my 'happy shoes'

MyGhastIsFlabbered · 11/06/2021 11:15

I bought a pair of shoes a few weeks ago and I just love them. WIBU to buy a second pair so that when these inevitably break I have a backup? They weren't expensive so that isn't an issue

OP posts:

Definitely go for it! My dad has always said when you find a perfect shoe, if you can afford to buy 2! I regretted not taking that advise when my favourite sandals broke and it took me a year and lots of online orders and returns to find similar again

Crunchymum · 11/06/2021 11:44

@Cocomarine

No, you really shouldn’t ever do this.
Why not?

OP, I'd buy two pairs. I'm at an age where my style and foot size won't change.

Do they come in different colours?

HowDeDo · 11/06/2021 11:45

Absolutely. I've done this before with shoes and clothes. It's not often I find something I really love (and that fits well) so to me it's money well spent.

SmellThis · 11/06/2021 11:46

@Watchingyou2sleezes

Why is this even a post, want them? Can afford them? Just buy the damn things

@LookItsMeAgain

YANBU to buy a second pair but YABVU to not share with us what these shoes look like! Smile
Yes Op - share the happy shoes!! @MyGhastIsFlabbered

Buy them, I often buy multiples of favourite items for the fear of not being able to buy such an item again.

torquewench · 11/06/2021 12:04

I have 4 pairs of the same style of shoe, but in different colours so I can rotate them and still have comfy feet 😉

BraveBraveMouse · 11/06/2021 12:05

If they are cheap, buy two more!

As I get older I resent the mental load of spending time sourcing good shoes and clothes and often buy more of a good product.

Sparklesocks · 11/06/2021 12:07

Do it!
I’ve done this before with items of clothing I love

Laiste · 11/06/2021 12:07

@funktion was that meant for my kitchen thread by chance? GrinGrin

Advice noted Grin

gelert5619 · 11/06/2021 12:07

Can we have a photo of Happy Shoes?

starfishmummy · 11/06/2021 12:10

Whyever not?

If you considered buying two identical t shirts you wouldn't even ask!!

WhySoSensitive · 11/06/2021 12:16

I have the same pair of shoes in multiple colours,
I love them and they’re comfy. If I could afford it I’d have multiple pairs in the same colour too!

PuntasticUsername · 11/06/2021 12:16

Place marking to find out what the shoes are, obviously Smile

newnortherner111 · 11/06/2021 12:19

If you are going to wear them until they wear out, perfectly reasonable. It's not fast fashion.

FrogFairy · 11/06/2021 12:20

Do it!

Years ago I bought a pair of wide fit Skechers shoes that were bliss on my problem feet. I regret not buying several pairs as other Skechers have not been such a comfortable fit. Still wearing the original pair but they are on their last legs.

Fluffyandsilly · 11/06/2021 12:22

DO IT. There is no substitute for the perfect shoe!
I found a pair of perfect summer sandals a couple of years ago. I bought them in two colours and then kept an eye on ebay for (unused) back ups. And bought them in the same two colours too Grin

withiceplease · 11/06/2021 12:23

Yes of course!
My DD gone through 3 identical pairs of biker boots from Ugg
I have same shoes in different colours if I get on well with them

Bellbottomstovetop · 11/06/2021 12:23

I buy everything I like more than once. I know what I like and I stick to it.

Buy the shoes!

bunburyscucumbersandwich · 11/06/2021 12:26

I did this. The second pair weren't as comfortable and gave me blisters!

ZingDramaQueenOfSheeba · 11/06/2021 12:29

I have 6 pairs of Chucks in different colours and 4 pairs of a type of high heel shoes (2 pairs identical, 1 pair black, 1 pair cream)

TheWernethWife · 11/06/2021 12:35

I have 5 pair of Hotter Nirvana shoes in different colours, they are so comfortable and easy to wear. My white pair are on their last legs but hoping they last another year.

Hotter no longer make them in white so can't get another pair.

MasterBeth · 11/06/2021 12:37

@Cocomarine

No, you really shouldn’t ever do this.
Strong agree.
GreyhoundG1rl · 11/06/2021 12:39

They weren't expensive so that isn't an issue
So what is the issue? Confused

godmum56 · 11/06/2021 12:39

I have got a drawerful of happy jeans. Marks had loads of different embroidered jeans a few years ago.....big bum sizes, plenty of lycra and just wonderful. Of course they never had any more since. I am so glad I overbought, still wear them still love them, still get asked where I got them
