To think people are crazy to give the covid vaccination to their children

After being approved for 12-15 year olds , I'm wondering how many would actually volunteer their child to get the jab?

My dses will make their own choices, both are teens and ultimately it’s up to them!

I don’t know if they will have it but they are both intelligent and will make a considered decision.

I resent the implication they are stupid if they have it!

There have been no studies on the effects of the vaccine on children. We know that children don't get ill or die from covid so we would be vaccinating them only to protect the adults. I don't think that's fair.

14 year old friends son is diabetic - he needs the vaccine to have any chance of surviving COVID

So his chance of death is 100% without the vaccine?

Not saying he shouldn't have it, but to say he has no chance of survival is one of the most hyperbolic things I've read on here today.

At least there's a couple with common sense. It's a brand new never been tried before technology that plenty of doctors and scientists have also warned against! We're only allowed to listen to the opinion of Sage via the BBC. There's been over a 1000 deaths already in the UK according to the governments own under reported data and plenty more adverse reactions! These are just the short term effects , no one knows the long term effects!! Quite frankly I can't see why any parent would risk this. If you've done your research fine but many haven't and I'm shocked. This is still in trial stages with no liability from manufacturers who gave previously paid out billions in compensation. DO THE MATH

Yes, but their other vaccinations were to protect them from becoming seriously ill. The covid vaccine doesn't. It's to protect others.

I don't understand why children need to vaccinated if the risk to them is minimal, obviously if certain children are at risk of serious illness due to Covid-19 then that is different.

Once all of the adults who want to be vaccinated have been done surely that is the end of it?

I have received my first jab and I'm having my second one next weekend so I'm not an anti-vaxxer, I'm just confused as we have been continuously told that the risk to healthy children is zero.

Because they're spreaders. And it can kill them. I can remember the utter panic when a teenager with no underlying health conditions died last year.

annie335 children have died of COVID. Children have developed life changing illnesses because of COVID. Saying otherwise is ignorant.

Ahahahahaha. Literally every sentence is wrong.

Vaccination is one of the oldest medical technologies we have. Look up Edward Jenner.

It's been tested on far more people than usual because, you know - global pandemic.

You can look up all the SAGE papers on gov.Uk. Most media discusses covid and the governmental advice and response quite openly. Not sure if you've noticed this.

okay - well the actual facts I have read and they can read makes me feel perfectly happy about them having it - I've had it.

I do love people who create a threat shouting 'you know nothing - open your eyes sheeple' then refuse to actually provide fact to back up their babbling rage - but that's your choice - makes your argument much more convincing
