PLEASE help me find my phone! Pathetic but desperate!

I managed to lose my phone in my own home, in the space of two minutes. Without going into details, I REALLY need this phone. It's a very bad time to lose it.

I can't ring it because it's on Do Not Disturb.

I've searched high and low. It's going to run out of battery eventually and then I definitely won't be able to ring it. Please, Mumsnet, can you help me.

Under sofa?
Coat pocket or handbag?

Washing machine, fridge, in the bin

Argh I hate that. Have you tried Find my iPhone or similar?

Lost in duvet on bed. On a shelf in bathroom or near the loo. Down the back of the sofa. Check the washing machine if you’ve put a wash on. On a window ledge.

In the washing basket with a pile of washing after you emptied the machine perhaps? 🤔 do you live with anyone?

Pull all blinds and turn lights off. Even when do not disturb should light up when called or text you may be able to see the light

Kitchen counter, under a loaf of bread or tea towel.
Passenger seat of car.
Under pillow

Retract your steps and check everywhere very carefully.

If it were my house it would be somewhere like on top of the microwave.

Could anyone else in the house have it?

If you were me, it’s in your hand and you’re typing this message on it. Or is it just me that does stuff like that....

What room did you last have it in?

I assume you're not posting on it?

Mine often slips out of my pocket and into the sofa.

Are you typing on it now?

Check pockets of anything you were wearing, including dressing gown.

Was anyone else in the house at the time?

Check your bin and where you put your Tv remote and computer mouse.

Check inside your fridge.

Does it have a coloured case? Look on surfaces of a similar colour, my husbands wallet went missing for days it had fallen from the mantle piece and landed next to the coal shovel of the exact same colour it basically camouflaged it!

It's obvious but think back over your movements. Retrace them carefully. Look down the sides and backs of things. Use a torch.

Pile of clean washing.
Dirty washing basket.
Fridge.
Outside table.
Food cupboard.
Under coat.
Under cushion.
Under a throw.
In the ddog.

Have you been outside at all? When ive lost mine at home I have sometimes found it outside front door on porch step. That or down side of sofa...

Retrace your steps ... what clothes was I wearing
Where did I sit
Where did I go
Garden ? Kicked under settee or furniture
Car ?

What sort of phone is it? If it's an android one then you can make it ring :

www.google.com/android/find

When my iPhone is on do not disturb if someone rings 3 times in a short space of time it comes through because it recognises it might be an emergency - can you try that?

Use the find my phone from another device it should make a noise, alexa is set up to find mine too, I'm always leaving mine in odd places
