My theory is that voters don't care.

So Dominic Cummings lied about his Barnard Castle outings, but we now believe what he's saying? You couldn't make it up.

One thing that strikes me is Dominic Cummings must be stupid because who would want to employ him now?

Cummings should have got the boot after the Bernard Castle fiasco. Now he's a loose cannon. Can't stand him. He looks quite evil.

Let the witnesses ( who heard this last July) come forward and say why they did not report it earlier .

Tbh 50 % of the population probably did not want lockdown to protect the elderly anyway so probably agreed with the alleged comments .

Where did you read this by the way? Left-wing social media? Did they give any hints as to why Jeremy Corbyn has been married three times?

I don't understand when posters say they don't care about the flat refurbishment as long as the tax payer didn't pay. If it turns out a donor contributed in order to get financial favours/a contract from the government then the tax payer will pay £££.

If it's a donor then they expect and often get something in return. Favours, contracts. Especially when undeclared. It's sleaze.

He's lied about so much stuff. This is just important because it's probably provable by a paper trail. How many other times has he lied, broken the ministerial code and /or the law? Lots.

Lies about brexit and the NI border and no paperwork, etc. What about conspiring to have a journalist beaten up?

I think the general public, who aren't the people making a living off of this are entitled to expect the media people who are making a living off of this to drill down and do the job they are paid for.

Johnson's lack of integrity outdoes all previous recent PM's. That he got elected in the first place says a lot about the rest of the Tory Party and a lot about Tory voters.

He was sacked from his previous job for lying.
He was recorded on tape agreeing to have a journalist beaten up.
He has made overtly racist comments
He has had multiple affairs.
He was a disaster as Foreign Secretary and splatted £1 billion up the wall on vanity projects as London Mayor
He has allowed an unelected person (Cummings) to make major government decisions. (Clearly coming back to bite him on his lung)
He has supported colleagues despite them being outed as bullies - (Patel and Cummings)
His judgement in spending so much on a Downing St refurb in a recession is very telling - before the outcome of the review is even heard.

Cummings will repay Johnson in spades - they deserve each other, but the UK deserves neither.

It bothers me a lot that he has genuinely lied over many issues but that people just think " oh well, it's just Boris being Boris.. at least he got us out of Europe."

He has been caught out so many times yet so many people just love him. The media seems to be reluctant to call him out... wonder why.

I've never ever come across a politician with so many red flags , to his name, who keeps on going. Not even Thatcher, Callaghan, Blair, Wilson or Brown.

Yes she did. She claimed not to talk to terrorists but was secretly talking to the IRA.

I also couldn't stand Thatcher (grew up in the 80s in a northern town decimated by her policies) but this is one lie I can definitely reserve judgment on. You don't make peace by talking to your friends, you have to talk to your enemies, if the press, public and opposition would have scuppered any chance of peace had they known discussion was taking place maybe better to keep them in the dark. Boris Johnson's lying has done the very opposite of bringing hope of peace in NI.

This is Mumsnet, where the recommendation for men who cheat is normally capital punishment.

Johnson had sex with a pole dancer on his sofa whilst his wife was having cancer treatment.

He then dumped that wife for his secretary.

He's probably the only PM in history where we don't know how many kids he has, or by how many women.

Yet..on Mumsnet.. .. 250 people and counting don't care that he lies.

The absolute state of this country at the moment. We really are a nation of selfish idiots.

I care. He lies habitually. How can he be a trustworthy leader. He takes money off people and does 'deals' with them using our tax money to pay them off. If we behaved in this way in our day to day work we'd be sacked, and quite rightly. I'm shocked at how many people don't care about his lies and dodgy deals.

What about the lies about the number of new nurses? All found to be total bollocks. But Boris is happy to make up bullshit, hope the public are too thick to realise because he thinks it makes him look good. And people will believe it and think the tories are doing good things for the nhs and vote them in again.

I absolutely care. His brazen contempt for us all disgusts me. What that man is doing to our political system and, what it means for the future, concerns me greatly.
