Can be lighthearted or heavy.

Mine is doing the packed lunches. Fucking hate it, especially those stupid Sistema lunchboxes with the compartments that nothing fits in Grin not my best ever purchase

E mails.
Information just doesn't sink in the same.
What's wrong with a letter I can stick on the fridge?

Dog poo.

Frying pans that stick.

Sycamore seedlings.

Trying to put bottom sheets on the kids high sleeper beds.

Please - anyone - is there a magic trick for doing this?

Bumpsadaisie · 27/04/2021 08:18

And yes to washing - every Sunday, same old thing of folding washing and trying to get the DCs to put it all away!

anon666 · 27/04/2021 08:24

Ridiculous I know, but "work". 😂😂😂

I think I have some kind of mental disorder that makes it impossible to handle work.

I get so stressed, overwhelmed and end up obsessed. Never solved it.

I lost my job pre-pandemic and its totally crashed my confidence about getting another.

BestZebbie · 27/04/2021 08:35

Tlollj: for annoyingly thick hair, have you considered an undercut? I have long thick hair but I have the back of the head/top of neck shaved under it up to around level with the top of my ears and it is soooo much cooler and easier to manage - it still looks like long hair for work and in a ponytail etc unless I choose to tie it all up on the top of my head and show off the shorn patch.

This is annoying!! I end up kind of folding the far away side over just to get to it. Might start sending my son up to put it on actually, maybe easier!

Re handling the shopping, I use the self scanner handset now when the shop has one. Load in to your bags as you go.

Although I understand not all shops have this. It's so handy when the do. Marks and Spencer's now let you use your phone to scan as you go, and Apple Pay to pay!

Missushbb · 27/04/2021 08:49

@PleaseReferToMeAsBritneySpears

Having to accept cookies on every fucking website and that new three click damn annoying fucker on every Google search Angry WTF is that all about?
I hate this too! Gives me the rage!!! So annoying.

Oh I love Self Scan. No conveyors not triple handling of your stuff. I wish every supermarket did it.

The ongoing struggle between my mask, glasses and Bluetooth headphones. Doesn't matter what order I put them on, always results in a tangled mess. I just want to be able to see, listen to podcasts and be covid safe. Not have everything reinact the Gourdian Knot every time I'm out.

And yes, fibromyalgia. The hurty bastard. My knees pop, my neck grinds, my wrists feel like they're stick in pressure cuffs, my jaw cracks. Then every muscle aches.
Doctor's advice? Take ibuprofen. Gee thanks doc, I'd not thought of that! :-s

woodbeez55 · 27/04/2021 09:22

Great thread!

For me, it's pigeon poo in our new garden - on the decking, on the patio. No sooner do we clean it away than they're back again. I have Googled everything about this but there doesn't seem to be a solution Sad.

Thanks for the tips re: nail care, insomnia and duvet covers! Grin

@Purplealienpuke

For my and dc’s sore hands, I researched alcohol-free, mousse-style hand sanitizers and found some easily on Boots website. Ordered some and picked up next day.

CatsnCoffee · 27/04/2021 10:39

I don’t even want to have to ‘manage cookies’. Just F..k Off!

skirk64 · 27/04/2021 10:42

Noisy neighbours.

AmeliaChameleon · 27/04/2021 10:44

Managing cookies is a good call.😄

FourTeaFallOut · 27/04/2021 10:46

My neighbour's log burning stove stinking out the street and having to keep all my windows closed because the smoke makes me wheeze while they are sat cosied up indoors like a pair of hygge twats.

I used to hate bedtime when mine were little too. It's supposed to be this golden bonding family time but once the day was done I just wanted them in bed, settled without the pita middle section. I would be desperate to get to the sofa child free to watch crap on TV..

DH long commute meant it was nearly always on me - I was at my most tired and they'd play up and it just wasn't good experince.

Odd thing is though even now as teens they often like me to tuck them in - which is go up say goodnight and turn the light out - which I'm trying to wean them off a bit as I do fall asleep or get busy - but they must have better memories than me of those nights.

Herecomesspring1 · 27/04/2021 11:21

Buttering bread / making sandwiches - hate it!!!

Making breakfasts.

PuntasticUsername · 27/04/2021 11:51

When something is allegedly "NEW AND IMPROVED".

Now. Look. If it's NEW it can't also be IMPROVED, as there is no existing thing to be IMPROVED upon.

If it's IMPROVED then it's not NEW, is it, it's an amended version of an existing thing.

It can't be BOTH, can it, how stupid do advertisers think we are?!

And while I'm at it - the washing powder adverts where they show the "NEW AND IMPROVED" powder gets the school shirts blindingly white, and the older version it's replacing leaves them all dingy grey.

Now. I remember what you claimed when it was that older version of the powder that you were advertising. AND IT WASN'T THAT, WAS IT. NO MENTION OF DINGE. STOP FUCKING GASLIGHTING ME.

I feel much better now, thankyou.

To the fellow fibromyalgia sufferers.. I find a mix of gabapentin and then amitryptiline (?sp) at night helps me manage my symptoms. It’s not a magic bullet, but definitely an improvement on otc painkillers. Some GPs are better than others, so maybe worth trying someone else within your practice. x
