I take it mentioning her or her partner is banned.

Can I just say how utterly disgusted I am from learning about the actions of her partner on here- and nearly just as much from the lack of reporting of this by the press and on here too? Disgraceful. The man still has the gall to have a live Twitter account!!!

Agree I think our child rape apologist is trolling us and therefore should not be given any further attention.

IK and Eric Joyce are both revolting. Makes me think less of Sali Hughes, Caitlin Moran et al that they are still friends.

LexMitior · 21/04/2021 22:16

India Knight is just like a lot of women who stay with partners who get caught sexually offending. It is a lot more common than you think, its just that you don't often know.

Not everyone who apparently gets done for "drink driving" is really being charged with that.

I remember one wife who stayed with her husband who had thousands of child abuse images, a former headmaster who had two life size replica child dolls in his house. Apparently she wasn't happy but was still with him at the point the police raided the house. You really never do know people's personal lives, but don't assume all women are good gatekeepers - a blind eye gets turned in some cases.

Yep that for sure

Even called it child porn 🤷‍♀️

@decadance

She is protected by the press because of who her stepfather is, as i posted on another thread many years ago i worked as her nanny and was left stranded with my 5 year old daughter at her stepfather's estate in the south of France, because i dared complain about working around the clock and caring for her friend's baby as well as hers which was not agreed, she refused to give me my air ticket or pay me, my daughter was terrified and we were stuck in a small staff annexe for 3 days trying to contact the British embassy to help us, luckily one of my friends got me a ticket and the chauffer working there felt sorry for us and took us to the airport as we were miles from the nearest town, will never forget her cruelty towards us, and yes i contacted the press about it i was so angry for my daughter going through that, they were going to print the story then it was stopped at the last minute.
Try Private Eye.

Or Spiked.

HeyGirlHeyBoy · 21/04/2021 22:59

*A PP said that watching babies get raped is so widespread they don’t even have the capacity to process the cases anymore

Ain’t technology great*

I feel sick. How utterly depressing and depraved SadAngry

AGirlCalledJohnny · 22/04/2021 01:20

It’s astonishing really. Cannot believe the extent to which she has been allowed to carry on as if it’s been no more than a ‘blip’, and anyone who expresses their disgust is no better than a villager with a pitchfork.

Decadence that’s disgusting. Pretty indicative of the kind of morals she has though. What a cow!

AGirlCalledJohnny · 22/04/2021 01:44

Wow. Just checked her Twitter feed and she has posted a thread about Meat Loaf and how she always wondered what it was that “he won’t do”. I had to comment, had to!

HeyGirlHeyBoy · 22/04/2021 06:55

I can't see your comment!

Motnight · 22/04/2021 06:56

Horrible experience, Decadence.

saltychoc · 22/04/2021 09:40

There's only a few things in life that are completely unforgivable and monstrous - that pair have managed to tick both this boxes, which is going some.

I'm horrified that are out and proud about the horrific things they have done (yes I judge her support of his actions just as harshly - this support has meant he feels little consequence to his crimes).

I can't believe people could still work or be friends with this pair.

saltychoc · 22/04/2021 09:47

@Xenia

Thanks for the link. He sounds pretty rotten although it sounds like his offence here was clicking on a spam email " She explained that Joyce, who appeared at court in person, “says he accesses it via an email which he says was a spam email”. The judge added: “At the time he was drinking heavily and he has now undergone work with the Lucy Faithfull Foundation and a psychotherapist.”..."
Why would you seek help of the behaviour of accidentally clicking on a spam link? FFS

Watching one minute of raping an infant would scar me for life and I couldn't do it....a minute is a very long time to not be able to shut the lid of your laptop or close the webpage.

thebabessavedme · 22/04/2021 10:39

blimey, my spam is very tame, not once ever have I got spam of a baby being raped, how very odd, it would seem to be an everyday occurance in some households, I will be more careful in future, I always assumed that child abuse flims took a bit of finding via the dark web with money generally changing hands.

What a crock of shit they do speak!, and as to a poster on here being deliberatly obtuse, she does rather like to tell us about her high flying very successful career, perhaps she has made 'friends in high places'?

Taketheredpill · 22/04/2021 10:48

Thank God for Julie Burchill. I punch the air every time she tweets about this .

Ps if the conviction is a fact, Id like to know why mumsnet is deleting threads?

Xenia · 22/04/2021 10:52

I am certainly not friends with Ms Knight and I think the whole lot of them vote Labour and the man concerned was a Labour MP, so they sound more like those London champagne socialists types.

The issue of when we blame women for what men do is not always very easy and the stand by your man where women are under the power of someone is hard to be fair over, not that I know either of them. MN certainly has an awful lot of sympathetic discussions regarding women who stay with violent men when it is not wise to do so (not that I am saying he has been violent to her here - it was a fellow journalist of hers Rod Liddle who apparently saw his much youner lover whilst on his honeymoon and then was violent to the pregnant lover - en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Rod_Liddle )

I am not an apologist for any of these kinds of people despite the suggestions above. However some of our sex crimes laws make me think just about anyone in the country could have fallen foul of them (despite doing nothing wrong in many cases) so I do have a concern about that.

MrsMackesy · 22/04/2021 11:03

'Spam' is often used in defence, rarely truthfully and at least initially until child abuse-specific search history and downloads prove otherwise as it did with Joyce. Police raided his home and seized all devices following 'intelligence received' and any concern for Joyce is woefully misplaced.

bookworm14 · 22/04/2021 11:04

Of course it wasn’t a bloody spam email. His computer had EVIDENCE OF SEARCHES FOR CHILD ABUSE IMAGES ON IT. Stop defending him.

WalkersAreNotTheOnlyCrisps · 22/04/2021 11:10

Xenia just no, seriously. Just about anybody couldn’t fall foul of looking at child sex abuse images “accidentally”. He was caught and unfortunately wasn’t punished. Beastly man, and she’s as bad.

MrsMackesy · 22/04/2021 11:10

Anyone innocently receiving or finding child abuse images on devices should not view them further and should make an immediate report to CEOP - information about CEOP is easily available online.

How many times have you accidentally stumbled upon images of children being abused?

I don't understand why you're tying yourself in knots over this. The criminals and abusers who make this material know it is illegal and they don't want to be caught, are you genuinely suggesting that these disgusting predatory abusers are going to fling their content out to random emails so that your average citizen gets unsolicited images of abuse?
