To say that cardigans always look frumpy?

No matter how you style them?

They had a moment in the 70s too, I remember me and BF wearing them. Current DP appears to judge what I wear on ease of access, so we’re both happy.

Seriously though I need to keep warm and adjust my layers easily ... would you have me wear a fleece? I’m in hiking gear most days as it is with all this ‘going for a walk’.

Love cardis, easy to slip on or off at work - love them

I’m 26 and I’ve been wearing cardis since I was a teenager. My favourite one has a bee print all over it, I don’t think it’s frumpy.

All cardigans are not created equal. I have a few that I like. A couple of long, quite fine knit ones with pockets. A long oatmeal chunky cable one and a shorter but even chunkier oatmeal cable one. And a very fine knit silk one from Jigsaw. I don't think any of them are frumpy.

I'd really struggle to wear this one and not look frumpy. But I love this one and would definitely wear it.

Oh and I have one very similar to this except mine is from Tesco which I absolutely love. I tend to wear it with something like a deep V t shirt, rolled mum jeans and biker boots and I really don't think I look frumpy although now I'm starting to wonder

Some cardigans are frumpy, some aren't, like some dresses, some trousers and some blouses.

They do on me so I feel you OP. I don't look like the lovely models you see on New Looks website lol I'm a 36E so just can't pull of the look at all 😂

Saying ‘cardigans are frumpy’ is like dismissing all jumpers, or shorts, or sandals... For you cardigan-haters, would you dismiss all of these?

Yep. Hate all of them. And all the ones already posted on here. That’s why I won’t wear them. Fair enough people can disagree and wear them and enjoy them - such is life. But I personally see all of those cardigans as frumpy, yes and I would never wear them. To me, the middle one is pretty much the definition of frumpy.

Yes they are all frumpy. That olive green one is minging. Wouldn’t wear any of those.

I don’t care what other people wear or if they love them. Every time I wear one I feel frumpy. I think it’s a personal thing. I kept buying them but have given up now.

I'm not a huge fan & some of these examples are frumpsville particularly the first option but I don't think they are all frumpy. Boobs don't help.

Yep agree they are frumpy, at least on me. I prefer jumpers.
