My DH has bought me a gift...

My husband was acting a little strange around me yesterday - shrugged it off and let it go..

This morning he presented me with a gift , a pair of thigh high bondage lace up platform pole dancing boots. He gets off on the way they look and wants me to wear them in the bedroom.

I am bit speechless if I’m honest. I’m not sure how to even react.. it’s so not me at all , if anything I’m cringing so badly. But he is my husband and I understand he’s trying to make more of an effort with us in that department...

How do I let him down nicely ..

Oh, honestly, Sun, I'd be fucking incensed if we were low on money and he went and made a purchase like this as was 'too embarrassed' to speak to you about his fantasy and then presented them as a gift and tried to guilt trip me when I didn't like it. FFS. I wouldn't dream of doing that to my husband even now. As I said, I bought him a couple of pairs of jeans I know he likes and noticed (I do the laundry) that his were getting tatty as he's not the type of person who spends a lot of money on himself.

I wouldn't even think twice about this. They'd be back in the wrapping and back to return by now.

As for this guilt trip and shaming that it's your fault if he cheats because you're not into his kink, fuck that!

I'd seriously question marrying someone who does something like this without speaking to me first about it. I honestly would, especially if he then sulked and tried to guilt trip me over it.

I do think the Health & Safety aspects of this should not be dismissed lightly. Absolute trip hazard, those platforms and that wrapping.

Well firstly, those boots are bloody awful.
Secondly buy him some arseless underwear and a bow tie. Explain its to spice up your sex life. Tell him to get them on and turn around so you can play with his arse. Do this every time, see how he feels. Tell him you expect him to wear this outfit every time you want sex, make sure you tell him it's a present for him. See how he likes it.
