I am not a frequent drinker of wine. But I find that people tend to love red wine. But drinking white (grape) wine is looked down upon. I don't care about your wine taste. It doesn't bother me. If you drink wine ...it doesn't matter. It's just bloody wine.urghh

Nettles, dandelions, plums, cherries, pretty much any berry... Wine can be made from lots of things. Wine is definitely the most common though, and it's definitely odd to add it to the description.

Never mind all this, anyone want a glass of wine? I've got red, pink and fizz. And yes, it's all made from GRAPES. I've also got cider or gin for people who are minded to be difficult.

I'm in a Muslim country which goes dry for Ramadan. Calimocho as expat party punch is very much a thing in the final week when everyone's drunk everything remotely drinkable, & it's down to phoning that one local guy with his illegal moped top box full of the local red...

My ex dp's friends wives used to sit with a glass of wine that seemed to last ages, where as I got funny looks for drinking pints of lager as fast as the men. I really don't care what people drink, nut I'd much prefer a white wine to a red one if I was forced.

I've never come across this and o my ever drink white wine, prosecco or on very rare occasions champagne. I retry red every now and then and I just don't like it. No one have ever judged me for it out loud. I suppose they might have internally. I'd say if I go out for a meal half the group will have white and half red though.

Depends on the quality of the wine. Generally I find cheap red more palatable than cheap white. I don’t drink wine unless it’s alongside food, but if I was forced it would be red as it’s easier on my stomach. If someone is snobby about white wine I would assume they don’t know much about wine in general or had never had a decent white.

I hear you! I like white wine & I know people who have progressed from liking white and onto red... and wouldn't touch white now. There is a slight air of superiority about their red wine interest now 🤪. I try to ignore it
