AIBU to ask if you wear pyjamas / equivalent?

Just having a group chat on messenger and one member has said they don't understand why people sleep naked.

I'm not entirely sure therefore, what is the "norm"? Do more people sleep with pyjamas / equivalent on, than without? I obviously understand that it is down to personal choice.

AIBU to ask if you sleep with or without sleepwear? Genuinely interested - this isn't some weird fetish.

Pyjamas are for lounging about, I sleep naked unless I feel I may need to get up quickly (ill, ill child) or am on my period and need to wear knickers.

Ahh no the ‘blushing smile’ emoji comes out on here as a wink?! How odd! Makes my post look creepy! 🤣

HelloDaisy · 15/04/2021 23:30

Nightie and socks for me!

amusedbush · 15/04/2021 23:38

I can’t sleep naked, it feels awful and weirdly vulnerable. I sleep in a baggy tshirt, knickers and socks. Yes, socks Grin bare feet in bed get horribly clammy!

redandwhite1 · 15/04/2021 23:39

Pjs here, I've tried sleeping naked and it kept me awake plus I like to be half under / half out the covers so would get cold

Ponoka7 · 15/04/2021 23:41

It has to be freezing before I can sleep with nightwear on. At home I wear knickers. In my BFs, I wear just socks.

freeandfierce · 15/04/2021 23:45

Naked. Always. Even as a young child I couldn't bear the restriction of wearing nightclothes. Even if I have a cheeky afternoon siesta I strip naked or I can't sleep.

ImAlrightThanx · 16/04/2021 00:06

With.
Too cold in winter, too sweaty in summer- a nice pair of loose cotton ones wick up the sweat.

Justa47 · 16/04/2021 02:41

@MahMahMahMahCorona

Always a chemise or nightie!
Agree with pj bottoms point!
I guess I love the my nighties!

HopingForOurRainbowBaby · 06/05/2021 00:50

Naked I like to feel free in bed even if it's minus 20 outside. If I'm cold I'll put a hot water bottle at the side of me and warm myself up that way. When I'm on the first few days of my period then I one of those adult diapers with a another extra thick pad inside it. Post miscarriages my periods are horrendous for the first few days and I can sleep better wearing those knowing I aren't going to ruin yet another bed sheet or the mattress even more. Once it's lightened off it's a normal Sani and granny knickers. The only time I will ever wear pjs in bed is if I go away with my Mum and Sister and have to share a bed with one of them. I hate it though cos I can never get comfortable wearing them. Trousers ride up my legs, pj shorts are just awful, and strappy pj tops are a definite no no cos I usually end up with a tit flopped out each side and nighties I don't like either cos I end up with it half way up my back. I did have some lovely 3 quarter length pj bottoms years ago which weren't too bad but they were mainly for bathroom trips during the night on holiday not to actually sleep in. I do however love pjs to lounge about in and I leave them close by for just in case I ever have to dash out in an emergency in the middle of the night. Although my top priority would be stuffing a Moggy into his carry case first

PenfoldPenny · 06/05/2021 01:53

Full pjs for me - except on a hot summer night in which case a nightie.
People saying you get too hot with pjs, I dont understand tbh. - Why not just have less covers on top?
I sleep with a 1 tog duvet and varying combinations of 4-5 blankets removing or adding as necessary. Without pjs bits get chilly!

Susannahmoody · 06/05/2021 02:21

Nekked but for socks

Losttheequipment · 06/05/2021 03:01

Without, clothes in bed are really uncomfortable for me. I only do pjs if I’m it’s cold and I’m not at home (my house is never too cold to sleep naked/comfortably

MyDogIsDrivingMeMad · 06/05/2021 05:08

Loose t-shirt and underwear, no matter how hot it cold it is. I add a blanket if it's chilly.

I will die wake in a state of hot misery and have to groggily remove them, if I try to sleep with socks on in bed.

MyDogIsDrivingMeMad · 06/05/2021 05:09

*hot or cold
