I have five children, all by the same father, all in wedlock. And no, we are not on benefits, not even tax rebates.

Why do so many mumsnetter thinks this is totally uncool, and then whinge about their broken relationships?

chipmonkey · 09/11/2007 22:55

UNCOOL????? I'M UNCOOL????????? OMG, how did that happen? I used to be so hip, so with it! How did I fall out of style?

NappiesShnappiesPANTSgalore · 09/11/2007 22:55

do you think this was the the thread she was after?

susiecutiebananas · 09/11/2007 23:01

Wedlock? WEDLOCK???? Living in sin? hey? oh, and "uncool" ??? what century are you living in? what an antiquated turn of phrase...

You need to spring back into 2007 I feel.. oh, and perhaps stop thinking any one gives a flying forget-me-not about anyone else's marital or otherwise arrangements, least of all yours.

RGPargy · 09/11/2007 23:12

Surely this person is a troll?!!

I cant believe anyone in the 21st century would think that way, unless they were digging for some reaction?

susiecutiebananas · 09/11/2007 23:20

pampas grass!!

Flibbertyjibbet · 09/11/2007 23:24

Why are you all even feeding this troll's attention seeking ways by bothering to respond at all???

colditz · 09/11/2007 23:27

Because we are bored and easily drawn into an argument.

the Devil finds work for idle hands.

RGPargy · 09/11/2007 23:30

Oooo i've just remembered!! I've got pampass grass!!

Does that make me all holier than thou now?

LuckyUnderpants · 09/11/2007 23:32

pampers grass - so uncool, you need privets and litter

3andnomore · 09/11/2007 23:32

hm...and I thought mumsnet was middleclass therefore would want all children by the same dad and in wedlock....oh bugger...got it wrong then...
tbh....I love the fact that my ds's all have the same parents, and that we were married even, and all that....but then, I grew up wiht the bastard stigma....

agnesnitt · 09/11/2007 23:33

Pampass Grass? I killed mine off and composted it. Does that make me the devil incarnate?

Agnes

3andnomore · 09/11/2007 23:33

btw...I know that life isn't always like this and things happen...just like the fact that for me this worked out, and I even still love my hubbie and well, I think, he still loves me!

BeautifulBoysGalore · 09/11/2007 23:34

RG - pampas grass in your front garden is a sign that you are up for swinging.
is it in your front garden? and does this explain some otherwise cryptic front door encounters with strangers??

RGPargy · 09/11/2007 23:36

3andnomore - Shame on you for STILL being loved up with your DH!! surely by now you should have had at least three affairs, have a secret love child that you never knew you had and be about to appear on Jezza Kyle?!

Agnes - i actually want to get rid of my pampass grass as an act of rebellion against MN (plus i've heard it's bad luck or summat?).

RGPargy · 09/11/2007 23:37

Beautifulboys - OMG!!!!!!! No wonder the neighbours all give us funny looks!!! And that's why the postman always rings twice!!!

3andnomore · 09/11/2007 23:38

Hm...there is all that ....

lol...no we had our hitches over the years, both sides....but have overcome then and decided that despite everything this is what we want, it's a case of ever after....lol...well....so far 12 years married and can't see us splitting...lol...

RGPargy · 09/11/2007 23:42

3 - i was being pedantic

BeautifulBoysGalore · 09/11/2007 23:43

the things you learn on mn eh?

my neighbour told me it first actually but i nodded and humoured her while thinking she was a titchy bit bonkers.

but its All True.

hahaha

agnesnitt · 09/11/2007 23:44

RGP, it was an absolute illegitimate personage (see what I did there? )to get rid of. Took most of a year. You basically have to batter the hell out of the roots and kill it off slowly. The main problem is that said roots tent to be rather dense. Good luck if you go for it though

Agnes

3andnomore · 09/11/2007 23:45

lol...trust me...

RGPargy · 09/11/2007 23:46

Thanx Agnes, although we're rather hoping to stick a garage right on the top of it. That'll stop the bugger from growing! Mowahahahaha!!!

BeautifulBoysGalore · 09/11/2007 23:46

it seeds like mad too.

RGPargy · 09/11/2007 23:49

oh gawd, dont say that!

BeautifulBoysGalore · 09/11/2007 23:51

its ok, i think the garage should cover it.
