I have five children, all by the same father, all in wedlock. And no, we are not on benefits, not even tax rebates.

Why do so many mumsnetter thinks this is totally uncool, and then whinge about their broken relationships?

OP posts:
SueBahHumbug · 09/11/2007 22:16

Hey, maybe I'm happy to be uncool.

Nightynight · 09/11/2007 22:24

this OP is so offensive. Clearly it is bash single mothers night on MN tonight.

to the OP: if you are for real, you are totally imagining what other peopel think. I couldnt care less about your marital status, but if I'm on the receiving end of your nasty little prejudices against single mothers, then you'll get a verbal smack in the gob.

LyraSilvertongue · 09/11/2007 22:25

It's not just single mothers who have children out of wedlock.

Dottydot · 09/11/2007 22:26

Yeah, totally agree - down with those who are living in sin (2 children, different mothers, same father, technically not living in sin any more).

minouminou · 09/11/2007 22:29

and i'm not even single!
what is this - daily (hate)mail night?
F**k her, close the thread down.

NappiesShnappiesPANTSgalore · 09/11/2007 22:32

ooh dotty, youll boggle her mind with your different mothers set up

sin rocks. i try to sin every day. to my mind, if there were a god, theyd be well pissed off with me if i didnt at least try. what a waste of life if you spend it all being a pious sanctimonious tight sphinctered old busybody.

snowleopard · 09/11/2007 22:33

I'm not living in sin. I'm living in a committed relationship with a child. My idea of sin is hurting other people. If yours is because of your religion, it's based on some arbitrary religious rule based on an ancient book that's been translated umpteen times. You follow that rule why? To get yourself into heaven. I follow my moral code to avoid hurting other people. You haven't got the moral high ground here.

Saturn74 · 09/11/2007 22:36

Loving the use of the word 'wedlock'.
Do you live betwixt the pages of a Catherine Cookson novel?

minouminou · 09/11/2007 22:38

well said, snow leopard

colditz · 09/11/2007 22:39

oh, can i play?

I see your wedlock, 5 children and no benefits, and I raise you a silver granada, the daily mail, and some pampas grass!

what?

What do you mean, it's not a competition!

colditz · 09/11/2007 22:41

I wish I had a tighter sphincter. Must be all that none marital arse banditry.

Saturn74 · 09/11/2007 22:41

pampas grass!

ChasingSquirrels · 09/11/2007 22:44

BrieVinDeAlkaSeltzer · 09/11/2007 22:46

Girls/Ladies

Calm down, SEPTIC (note spelling) is a shit stirrer.

hayCHingleBells · 09/11/2007 22:46

Only read op
OMG!
What the feck?

I have been with dp out of wedlock for 9years. We have 2 children together. We love and trust eachother. We are not on benefits.

What difference does a piece of paper make to that? Feck all! Only £15000 spent on one day and a honeymoon i cant afford - nor probobly ever will.

LittleBella · 09/11/2007 22:48

LOL at this thread title

I don't really know why you're asking if yabu, I suspect you're a stranger to reason

MissZee · 09/11/2007 22:48

Arse banditry

LuckyUnderpants · 09/11/2007 22:52

i have 2 dc to 2 differnt fathers, both out of wedlock (one was a fling OMG [shock}) and ive been on benefits....Jeez im soooo cool

NappiesShnappiesPANTSgalore · 09/11/2007 22:52

is marital arse banditry- you know, in wedlock [snigger] less cool then?

coz i only do cool stuff.

colditz · 09/11/2007 22:52

Goodness, it's a joke, serious posts on this note only happen in Tennessee.

NappiesShnappiesPANTSgalore · 09/11/2007 22:53

hey, those underpants really are lucky

great name btw

colditz · 09/11/2007 22:54

Well, if it's none marital you can presumably go and do it in his bed, not your own. If marital, surely all you could think about is whether surf would get your sheets clean! So not cool.

LuckyUnderpants · 09/11/2007 22:54

pmsl thanks!

NappiesShnappiesPANTSgalore · 09/11/2007 22:54

good grief, i know its a joke! im jesting too-does it not show? doh!
