I feel like it’s ruined me for all other box sets 😞

I found The Office cringey and Ricky Gervais embarrassing. Probably Red Dwarf and Kath &Kim have made me laugh the most. I loved Green Wing and Hot Metal (going back a bit there).

I thought this country was alright (grew up in a small village and so it does have a nostalgic element for me) but the whole time I was watching it I just thought...they’re totally copying the office?! SO much of it was ‘borrowed’ from it that it just felt a bit...meh and unoriginal.

This is where The Office was so influential. Whether its aged well or not, it redefined the sitcom.

No mention of the Royle Family? That's timeless.

Oh yes, Rising Damp was good. And Reggie Perrin.

The US version is far funnier and has 9 series.

It’s quite dated now but it reminds me of university and happy times!

I love it too op. My funniest sitcoms are Curb Your Enthusiasm, This Country and Still Game. The US Office starts well but gets awful towards the last seasons.

This Country and Motherland are my go-tos when I want to forget about life and have a giggle.

The Office was of its time. Cringe, funny, sad.

I find all the above just mildly amusing, apart from the office, which I find excruciating.

I'm sure I've missed others but these stand out the most. I think Rising Damp can still leave me in stitches.

Ricky Gervais is a genius, Extras is fantastic, as is After Life, as is Derek.
The Office is supposed to be cringy to watch, that's the point.

Others than that our UK faves are Gavin & Stacey, Peep Show, IT Crowd, This Country, The Detectorists.

US favourites are Curb Your Enthusiasm, Modern Family, Schitt's Creek

Can’t believe no ones put Keeping Up Appearances yet. Hyacinth Bucket was, imho, one of the funniest characters ever written. Not a single boring episode in the whole show.
