A white wash report. Misuse of public money. Shower of incompetents in SNP government. Rotten education. Using covid as a political tool.
I could weep for my country.
Yet people like James O'Brien continue to arse lick Nicola

@snowcoveredcampsies

There's this weird mental state called 'bitch eating crackers' I learned about it on here.

It describes feeling a hatred toward someone so great that it becomes irrational. Every little innocuous thing that person does causes feelings of extreme rage hence the name... Look at that that bitch over there eating crackers.

I think we have a fair few sufferers on this thread.

Look at her, providing information to the people of Scotland in an articulate and coherent way. What an arsehole.

Also, how dare she not centre English sentiment? The English left need her or something because of Twitter?
snowcoveredcampsies · 23/03/2021 14:24

Aye true @Pumperthepumper and can we also take a second to think about Janey Godley. We can't forget her part in all this ...

WhiskyIrnBru · 23/03/2021 14:27

Shows how blindfolded the rest of the UK have been if we can criticise the first minster of Scotland for communicating with the people during a pandemic. What a cow.

Eat out, don't eat out. Work from home if you can, but if you can't don't. Shake people's hands. Don't shake people's hands. Wash your hands. Clap. Clap. Clap.Hmm

ssd · 23/03/2021 14:27

SNP will do well in the polls

UnderHisAye · 23/03/2021 14:28

Ahahaha bitch eating crackers! I've never heard that before but it's so true!

I've noticed on here she can literally do nothing right.

She cant give dates but if she does give dates then has to change them she's a bitch.
She does briefings but doesn't give enough information, or the right information. And she should stop playing politics by doing briefings.
She says dose wrong.
Jason Leitch has an annoying voice.
She'd had a haircut.
And on
and on
and on
and on

I think a lot of it is that many people, including those who would define themselves as feminists, are subconsciously more comfortable with a male leader. So she's guilty of leading while being female.

tuttifuckinfruity · 23/03/2021 14:29

I'm still baffled so I'll ask again:

@derxa - could you please explain your point about the English left?

I'll also ask: - what's the relevance of Janey Godley? Do you think she is part of the SNP?

Also not sure why she would block you for a "like" but I won't tug at that thread...

She also reads books, which she gets loads of grief for. Reading fucking books! Like some kind of intelligent professional woman? Who takes an interest in literature?

We’d all much rather have politicians who’ve never opened a book in their lives, that’s a real mark of quality.

RaindropsSplashRainbows · 23/03/2021 14:30

Loving the accusations of drunkenness, bitterness, " bitch eating cracker" terminology here. Plus some free psychoanalysis!

So feminist. 😅

RaindropsSplashRainbows · 23/03/2021 14:31

Now I love the book reading. Can't say I've seen that low blow being used. But I'm glad you all are keeping notes!Wink

UnderHisAye · 23/03/2021 14:33

Oh, does feminism mean being bestest pals with all women ever, and never questioning anything any other women says, simply because they have a vagina? Don't be daft.

My drinking comment was a joke. Unless I happen to know Derxa and she does have a day drinking problem then it was clearly a joke...

Bythemillpond · 23/03/2021 14:33

Don’t really follow Scottish politics but caught something about Salmond/Sturgeon last night and couldn’t help wondering that something really shady had gone on if Alec Salmond had been paid out 1/2 million in compensation
The thing is all roads seem to lead back to Nicola Sturgeon

LatteLoverLovesLattes · 23/03/2021 14:33

@GetOffYourHighHorse

'She's used the broadcasts during pandemic to keep people updated daily.'

It is a year later fgs. I'm not sure why Scottish people can't read papers or watch the news. She is using it as a party political broadcast.

Yes at crucial stages of course updates are required but not daily 🙄.

Swap you - NS there daily, articulate & informed, for Boris, occasionally pops up, ill informed & full of waffle

I like her, I feel for her over the whole Alex Salmond thing & I listened to her on the day she was being questioned.

FWIW - I believe her.

The thing I do hate about her, is her drive to split up the U.K.

Here you go - just go on Twitter and read the replies to anything she posts about books.
Nicola Sturgeon has done a number on the English left.
LatteLoverLovesLattes · 23/03/2021 14:35

@UnderHisAye

I don't want to read the media's take. I want to hear it from the horse's mouth, not through a filter.

This is public health comms 101 - put a regular trustworthy face on it, that's how you get people to understand what's happening, and take part in the changes they're required to.

Definitely. I like the way she explains why certain decisions have been taken.
LatteLoverLovesLattes · 23/03/2021 14:37

@UnderHisAye

I honestly can and will not bow to this notion of 'if she broke the ministerial code she will be expected to resign' because she forgot about a bloody meeting or something.

Johnson is probably guilty of the manslaughter of thousands; it's never even discussed in the media at all. He'll never pay for his arrogance and indecisiveness or his cold-blooded 'just let all the old people die and we'll crack on without them' attitude.

And we're supposed to vilify a woman who may have spoken to someone on this date but not that date?

Do me a fucking favour.

Exactly.

I can't copy all of your posts, so I'll stop now, but I agree with you wholeheartedly.

GetOffYourHighHorse · 23/03/2021 14:37

I could not give a rat's ass about her hair do or Jason Leitch's voice.

Did any of you actually watch her 8 hours of evidence? Sooo many ' I can't recall' 'I'd have to check' 'I've no recollection'. On and on it went. This fabulous communicator could hardly string her excuses together.

UnderHisAye · 23/03/2021 14:40

Yes, I did watch it. I think she was, in the main, pretty straight, but there was a wee bit of whataboutery and I don't remember that I was Hmm about.

It isn't enough to make me think she should lose her job, when a man whose inaction contributed to the death of thousands - as recently as January with his schools-are-safe-oops-theyre-not nonsense - is being lauded now because scientists made a good vaccine, and healthcare workers are rolling it out.

GetOffYourHighHorse · 23/03/2021 14:43

'Johnson is probably guilty of the manslaughter of thousands; it's never even discussed in the media at all. He'll never pay for his arrogance and indecisiveness or his cold-blooded 'just let all the old people die and we'll crack on without them' attitude.'

'Never discussed in the media', are you joking?? It is discussed all the time. Maybe you should have torn yourself away from Nicola's briefings and have familiarised yourself with some other news, hmm?

Johnson didn't ever say or imply that old people should die while we 'crack 'on either.

UnderHisAye · 23/03/2021 14:45

I think it's very obvious I wasn't actually quoting him for goodness' sake.

Yeah, I just sit at home watching Sturgeon reruns, I've no idea what goes on otherwise.

ClarkeGriffin · 23/03/2021 14:48

I just love the fact that I see snp supporters saying she was let off with this when she wasn't. She was found to have misled government. So essentially, she lied about this and she has let down the women involved in the inquiry. Real great female leader that.

She is a joke. She needs to go.

helpfulperson · 23/03/2021 14:49

So if she were to resign who would you suggest as first minister after the election? Not a great deal of choice!

snowcoveredcampsies · 23/03/2021 14:52

He actually did imply just that. On This Morning with Phil and Holly of all places. 🤷🏻‍♀️

Let it rip through I think was then actual phrase.

MrsMathers · 23/03/2021 14:55

@helpfulperson

So if she were to resign who would you suggest as first minister after the election? Not a great deal of choice!
I have asked this many times and the answer has always been "Anyone but her!" I haven't asked it on here though so I'm interested in any replies.

I'm starting to think if it's "anyone but her" then maybe I should just do it myself 🙄😂

GetOffYourHighHorse · 23/03/2021 14:55

'I think it's very obvious I wasn't actually quoting him for goodness' sake.'

OK you said his 'attitude' was 'let the old people die and we'll crack on'. That's not true is it. When has his 'attitude' implied this? You do know Scotland had a high care home death rate don't you? In fact for a small country with a small pop the size of Yorkshire they haven't done very well at all, still Nicola was an the telly every day!!

You said Johnson's handling of the pandemic isn't ever discussed in the media, are you going to admit that was just bollocks?

UnderHisAye · 23/03/2021 14:56

He said this, then took another 18 days to lock the country down, while presiding over a cabinet that gave PPE contracts to their friends, and claimed they had double the amount of PPE they actually did, by counting a pair of gloves as two pieces of PPE.

"one of the theories is, that perhaps you could take it on the chin, take it all in one go and allow the disease, as it were, to move through the population, without taking as many draconian measures. I think we need to strike a balance, I think it is very important, we’ve got a fantastic NHS, we will give them all the support that they need, we will make sure that they have all preparations, all the kit that they need for us to get through it. But I think it would be better if we take all the measures that we can now to stop the peak of the disease being as difficult for the NHS as it might be, I think there are things that we may be able to do."
