A white wash report. Misuse of public money. Shower of incompetents in SNP government. Rotten education. Using covid as a political tool.
I could weep for my country.
Yet people like James O'Brien continue to arse lick Nicola

As for Brexit - people voted in Scotland to stay in the EU.
You didn't have to be clairvoyant to see it meant the end of the yoon to leave the EU, but England got what it wanted so now support democracy by supporting Scottish independence.

Wondermule · 23/03/2021 21:38

Okay then I will. GO ALBA 🏴󠁧󠁢󠁳󠁣󠁴󠁿 🏔 💪🏻

May Nicola protect and keep you.
@Pumperthepumper

Well, if England got bailed out by the other countries to the tune of a billion pounds, would you expect us to be grateful? I suspect you would.

There is a saying ‘paranoia comes from wanting to be talked about’. You read English superiority into EVERYTHING because secretly you just want the attention, and to indulge in a nationalistic victim complex. It’s all very sad. I have no idea how people like you will cope if Scotland do get independence with nothing more to moan about.

Well, apart from your country going down the shitter and tax rates going through the roof 🤷🏼‍♀️
Again: I don’t want independence. Is this your projection problem? If Scotland becomes independent, you’re no worse off. And again: you’re the one who came up with the idea that England was the parent in this scenario, so it’s hardly paranoia to point out the cowardice in your posts.

Except with an in independent Scotland you’ll still have your ignored, unwanted, underfunded little counties that don’t belong in the country you were once proud of. That’s the nationalism I would worry about, if I was you.

YNK · 23/03/2021 21:40

@Wondermule

May I also point out it was England that developed the AstraZeneca that Scotland is currently benefitting from very nicely 👌🏻

Quick to take that benefit, weren’t you? Why didn’t you patriotically wait for one of your universities to develop a vaccine, and support your own? Given England is so awful?

It was also supported by Scottish taxpayers and Scottish scientists as a non profit vaccine that is manufactured worldwide. Are you claiming Scotland should be excluded from benefiting? That's very illuminating!
Wondermule · 23/03/2021 21:41

This may stun you rigid pumper, but I fancied a little debate on something inconsequential to me because it’s been in the news. I know. What. The. Fuck.

Wondermule · 23/03/2021 21:41

@YNK what taxes? You didn’t raise enough and had to take from ours!

Wondermule, you're everything that is wrong with unionists.

Your comments have the tone of someone who feels England is above Scotland

The good thing is, the more people like you spout bile like this, the more it shows how little some English people think of Scotland and her ability to fund, govern and manage herself.

Your country is already down the shitter,as you put it. No loss for us to try a different route.

Sad.

Why would that stun me? It’s interesting to see how English people view independence, although like I said, I could do without the sneering.

What if it goes badly though? Are you happy to accept the higher taxes? No increased pay, but higher taxes? And its not like we can just join the EU automatically again, we'd have to apply and go through the process which if we are broke by then, they won't take us. Who helps us out then?

It's highly likely to go badly if Scotland goes independent and I'm not willing to take that risk. I'm not rich, I don't have the ability to afford higher taxes. If Scotland goes independent, I like many others will be looking to leave. And I wouldn't be certain that the gaming industry in Dundee will stay either, they can easily relocate.

Wondermule · 23/03/2021 21:49

@WhiskyIrnBru well given your only exports are in your username it isn’t looking good is it?

No, I joke. Just trying to lighten the atmosphere.

Your posts aren’t proving Scotland is better off without England. All they prove is that the main motivator for independence is pure paranoia that English people look down on you which is bizarre - I mean we had a Scottish PM this side of the millennium.

Your hatred, paranoia and victim complex will be your undoing - you are going to cut your nose off to spite your face.

I don’t know if I would want independence if I was Scottish, but I know I would want it done properly if I did - with a competent leader with a clear and sustainable vision for how it was going to work. I wouldn’t be led on nationalistic neuroses because they won’t pay for services and improve your quality of life. Surely the last thing you want is for independence to go belly up and have to come back, once again, to Westminster with the begging bowl?

YNK · 23/03/2021 21:52

@ClerkGriffin - you have your vote.

I'm still pondering the worth of a local vaccine for local people Grin

Wondermule · 23/03/2021 21:52

@ClarkeGriffin

You’re welcome down here mate. Just bear in mind your prescriptions will cost you and houses cost an absolute fortune. If you have kids they’ll have to pay university fees, and you will be solely ruled by Westminster - no devolved government to stick up for you. Oh and we have nobody to bail us out for free if our finances go off a cliff, we would probably have more austerity or something.

But apart from that, we definitely live the high life off of Scotland, and have no idea what it is like to be undermined and shafted.

It’s not really that bizarre when people are using words like ‘begging bowl’ though is it?

Do you feel like you need a begging bowl for your own country to take your county seriously? Do you not feel a bit pissed off at your children’s underfunded schools and squeezed NHS?

Scotland isn’t your enemy here.

There we go. You've proved my point with that comment.

Imagine spending hours arguing about another country you don't care about getting independence.

Such a drain on the rest of the UK, but we house your nuclear weapons and oilHmm

Your tone is shocking. Perhaps return to the daily mail comment section,as that's what you sound like.Biscuit

You can keep your taxes by supporting the end of the yoon.
Why don't you?

Wondermule · 23/03/2021 21:55

@Pumperthepumper

You’re doing it again, I never said Scotland was my enemy. Just objectively commenting on why independence just isn’t a good idea for you. Which has incurred a lot of wrath and bizarre accusations of superiority. I hate Westminster probably more than you do.

As for my county, we are probably underfunded because Scotland’s taking our tax money 😂

Williamthebruce · 23/03/2021 21:57

Can ANYONE answer how the SNP are capable of running Scotland’s finances when they’ve asked Westminster to bail them out twice in the last few years? And that is WHILE they have the benefit of the Barnett formula?

...Anyone???

🍃

Why would the SNP be running an independent Scotland? We could vote whoever we want into power and at least get the party we actually voted for for once.

But to answer your question they'd run it the same way any other independent nation does. The only reason Scotland has had to ask the UK government for help is because we can't do what they do and generate money.

If Scotland were independent they'd have done the exact same as the UK government has done and "borrowed" more.

I also had a bug ol' reply to your previous message typed up but bloody lost it.

The gist was I'm shocked you don't understand the financial benefit and potential of natural resources. I mean fresh water is literally the single most important resource that's ever existed and has the potential to be a massive problem for England over the next few decades and is reason enough for England to want to keep hold of Scotland.

At the end of the day the an independent Scotland would only have to meet the needs of 5.8million people instead of trying to spread it's resources among 68million as it has to now.

Scotland’s not your enemy......but your county is underfunded because Scotland is taking your tax money? Are you reading your own posts?

Look up English independence, honestly. It’s a growing movement because London has been centred for too long. You seem really angry at the shit deal you’re getting with no outlet - this might be your answer.

JustAnotherPoster00 · 23/03/2021 21:58

@Wondermule

I used to respect JOB but he is now lacking the objective critical thinking that made me like him in the first place. He has very much played down the EU vaccine tactics and the SNP’s problems. He held a debate about cancel culture a while back but made the ONLY condition that you couldn’t discuss trans or GC issues. And he has steadfastly refused to examine why the public don’t like Meghan Markle beyond the ridiculous avocado and poisonous flower headlines. He’s showing wilful ignorance over any issue that is problematic to his ideology.

As for Nicola, good luck Scotland - you’ll need it if she takes you out of the UK!

I give you every single talking point of the right and alt right in this country and also a healthy dose of 'oooo scary nicola' at the end Hmm and the amusing bit is they say that its the snp supporters are in some kind of thrall yet they all sing from identical hymn sheets I'm just waiting for someone to call her 1 of the usual insults and I'll be able to shout house on unionist daily mail bingo
Wondermule · 23/03/2021 21:58

@YNK

I just said I will Smile but only if there is a term in the divorce settlement that says we will not bail you out or give you any money under any circumstances. I want Hadrian’s wall to be rebuilt, and whatever happens north of it to be nothing to do with us.

But we all know that won’t happen, Scotland will drive itself off a cliff and we will have to come to the rescue because we share a border 🙄

forfucksakenett · 23/03/2021 21:58

We'll be just fine @Wondermule
