A white wash report. Misuse of public money. Shower of incompetents in SNP government. Rotten education. Using covid as a political tool.
I could weep for my country.
Yet people like James O'Brien continue to arse lick Nicola

@ClarkeGriffin

It’s for the same reasons you’re sick of it - being ignored. Votes counting for nothing.

That's literally your only reason though. Wales and Northern Ireland have the same problem, don't hear them harping on as much as the Scottish though.

Are you going to be happy being separate if taxes rise? Which they may have to, I mean they already have despite her promise of no rises. And they will rise again soon.

Going to be happy if you have to pay for prescriptions? University fees? You may not get these things for free anymore with Scotland independent.

Do you have any proof that we will be better off independent? I can't see any. Sturgeon struggles to run the country right now and its not even independent. She's screwed education, health, she's lied about many things, tax being just one of them, and I can't think of one thing she's got right. I can't even include covid because suicide rates went up due to her cutting help for people.

If any of the pro SNP posters here actually address your questions, rather than insult you about something, I will eat my hat.

@dontsaveusername

Though it's a bit of a relief not everyone loves NS. Nice to have some balance. I thought folks would be lynched in Scotland if the dissented from to nicola love fest
Yes that's right. You must also snort irn bru and only wear tartan clothes.

Ah come on, don’t be a coward. You’re as guilty as anyone as being on the wind up.

Me too. Even sturgeon can't answer those questions or concerns.

Coward? I’ve answered every question put to me, even those rhetorical in tone. Same can’t be said for others.

You’ve also slung a lot of England = parent, Scotland = annoying teen around. Let’s not pretend you’re blameless here.

NinaMimi · 23/03/2021 21:09

It’s amazing that some people call her corrupt and embarrassing but support Boris and the tories in Downing Street. Sure it was not handled well but she didn’t gain from it. Can’t say that about all the corruption regarding UK government contracts, which was a lot more money. Haven’t heard calls of resignation.

I imagine most English people whether on the left or the right haven’t even been paying attention. It’s not a “scandal” that can be grasped straight away anyway, and when you learn about some of it it’s not so clear why it’s a big deal. So she might have met with Alec Salmond to discuss the charges against him already knowing what he’d been accused of it. In the meeting Salmond said she’d said she’d sort things. But then she didn’t act like that was the case at all and he now says she’s is part of a conspiracy against him. It doesn’t join up well to support what he says.

If you liked Sturgeon before this then you probably still do and likewise if you dislike her you still do.

Yawn. The deflection continues.

I don’t know why answering questions about the SNP’s plans for Scotland is so difficult for you?

YNK · 23/03/2021 21:12
@YNK it is remarkable how keen the Westminster government is to hold on to Scotland when we're nothing but parasites.
It's a hoot!
They don't want Scotland to stay in the Yoon, but they are incensed that Scotland would go!
All this talk about it being embarrassing, but no one can say who would be embarrassed.
I love it Grin

Wondermule · 23/03/2021 21:12

Who has supported Boris here?

Wondermule · 23/03/2021 21:13

It’s remarkable how keen the Scottish people are to hold on to Westminster, given the referendum result.

forfucksakenett · 23/03/2021 21:13

@NinaMimi exactly. The whole thing was poorly handled but it's not even close to being on the scale of our friends in WM. it's not so much corruption as a series of mistakes. Not that I'm saying that's okay but I wouldn't want her to resign over it.

It's slippery to grasp and it feels like a non issue.

Pumperthepumper · 23/03/2021 21:14

I don’t know why answering questions about the SNP’s plans for Scotland is so difficult for you?

It isn’t, I’ve been really clear on where I stand.

I could do without the sneering though. Especially when you pretend it’s got nothing to do with you and you’re just waiting for a snide response when you’ve done nothing to deserve it. It’s cowardly.

Wondermule · 23/03/2021 21:17

Can ANYONE answer how the SNP are capable of running Scotland’s finances when they’ve asked Westminster to bail them out twice in the last few years? And that is WHILE they have the benefit of the Barnett formula?

...Anyone???

ConkerBonkers · 23/03/2021 21:23

I've thought this for years, when she said that she would form a coalition with labour. Think that did a number on the left. She has only to gain from a strong right as it bolsters the support for Scottish independence, which is the only thing she actually cares about.

There would absolutely have to be tax rises in Scotland, and budget cuts. I don’t think anyone is denying that.

What’s your point? Is it the ingratitude thing again? While at the same time complaining your corner of England is also ignored?

YNK · 23/03/2021 21:25

If they are so inadequate why don't you campaign for Scottish independence alongside the SNP?
Wondermule · 23/03/2021 21:26

@Pumperthepumper

You’re obsessed with reading ingratitude into everything 😂😂 is this projection? Do you feel you should be grateful?

My point is that the SNP can’t control Scotland’s finances even when they have the support of the Barnett formula.

As for tax rises, that is WHY they had to go to Westminster with the begging bowl - they refused to raise income tax so didn’t raise enough money, and pinched it from the U.K. purse instead. A billion pounds.

So actually yes you should be grateful, I would be if my services were being propped up by another country’s taxes.

Why are you not supporting Scottish independence?

I'm not for anyone. I'm party less, because they are all shit.

At this stage in how things are going, I'm thinking guy fawkes had the right idea. It's not like we'd notice if they all suddenly vanished, they are doing such a bad job anyway. Hopefully we might end up with some better people if all of the politicians just buggered off and let us start again. I have zero trust in any of them, they are all as corrupt and as useless as each other.

Ah so it is ingratitude! At last! Feeling less cowardly yet?

If Scotland was independent, taxes would have to rise. Budget cuts would have to happen. Some people feel that’s worth it. I don’t.

But again, your attitude is the reason so many people want independence. England has become such a little country, such a pathetic, insular little island. Scared of foreigners and desperate to cling to former glory. And you’re seeing that too, in your neglected little section of England.

Scotland isn’t your enemy here.

Wondermule · 23/03/2021 21:30

Omg @YNK your avoidance is just embarrassing 🤦🏼‍♀️

I said before - it would be a messy second Brexit and isn’t worth the hassle and there’s every chance the UK would have to bail you out again. But that’s only a moderate feeling, frankly I don’t really care what Scotland do.

Wondermule · 23/03/2021 21:33

@Pumperthepumper

Well, if England got bailed out by the other countries to the tune of a billion pounds, would you expect us to be grateful? I suspect you would.

There is a saying ‘paranoia comes from wanting to be talked about’. You read English superiority into EVERYTHING because secretly you just want the attention, and to indulge in a nationalistic victim complex. It’s all very sad. I have no idea how people like you will cope if Scotland do get independence with nothing more to moan about.

Well, apart from your country going down the shitter and tax rates going through the roof 🤷🏼‍♀️

YNK · 23/03/2021 21:34

Is my persistence embarrassing you? It doesn't embarrass me, so where's the embarrassment?

You don't appreciate Scotland being in the yoon so why not just cut your losses and throw your support behind independence?

Wondermule · 23/03/2021 21:35

May I also point out it was England that developed the AstraZeneca that Scotland is currently benefitting from very nicely 👌🏻

Quick to take that benefit, weren’t you? Why didn’t you patriotically wait for one of your universities to develop a vaccine, and support your own? Given England is so awful?
