Philadelphia on Dark choc digestive, apparently tastes like cheesecake.

Nope - tastes like Philadelphia on a dark chocolate digestive! Disappointing

OP posts:
OnceUponAMidnightBeery · 22/08/2021 23:33

Zoflora - like it but definitely have to choose scent carefully!

Watching Withnaill and I - loved it

Lots of lovely low carb recipes, 90% success rate the ones that failed were probably my cooking

Using hot water and biological washing powder on filthy floors. Works a treat.

I’m going to try the eggy crumpets from up thread, they sound 😍

coodawoodashooda · 22/08/2021 23:33

@EiffelPower

Grey rock. Life changer Grin
Agreed.
Gingerkittykat · 22/08/2021 23:34

Grey rock and No is a full sentence have helped me a lot.

I bought M and S tinned chicken curry after a couple of posters raved about it. It was about £2.70, expensive for a tin and so bland and gloopy I threw most of it out.

Gingerkittykat · 22/08/2021 23:38

I forgot the Shark cordless. It's ok, certainly not worth raving about.

Mookie81 · 22/08/2021 23:41

@QuidditchQueen

All fed, nobody dead Love it!

Also - Montalbano books by Andrea Camilleri long before the TV series
Vic vapour rub for toe fungus -miraculous!!

How long did the vicks take to work?!
Mookie81 · 22/08/2021 23:43

@MumblesAndMutters

Good:

Baby aspirin TTC - worked! (GP agreed)
The Ordinary skincare
Milkshake Whipped Cream conditioner (fine hair)
Dinner of: pre-packed Mediterranean veg + tin of chickpeas + halloumi
Talcum powder on sandy feet
Kew tinned candle (instead of pricier alternatives)
Superga and Toms casual shoes

Not good:

The Pink Stuff cleaner - doesn’t work
Collagen supplements - no difference

What did baby aspirin do? Was there a particular one you used?
gorgeousjewel · 22/08/2021 23:45

Copper coins (one and two pence pieces) in a zip lock bag of water to deter flies - yeah that's me tripping over a waterlogged bag of shrapnel to shoo flies out!

Dasher789 · 22/08/2021 23:49

Boden
Philips lumea
Charlotte Tillbury
New house!

me4real · 22/08/2021 23:55

Dumping the narc in my life (I still think of you all and the help you gave me every day, even over 18 months later.)

Freedom Programme, through which I met a good friend.

YOU and Sex/Life on Netflix. Hilarious. Grin

I'll have to try some of the stuff the rest of you mentioned now.

Thewiseoneincognito · 22/08/2021 23:59

@grassisjeweled

Almost on the point of trying lesbianism because of MN to be honest.
🤣😂🤣
EwwwCoffee · 23/08/2021 00:16

The Ordinary. Better than any prescription stuff I’d tried and knocked my adult acne on the head after about a month. I come back and evangelise on acne threads when I spot them to pay it forward :)

On another note, MN made me GC. As a socially liberal woman, I couldn’t fully articulate the concerns I had without feeling I must be somehow in the wrong. The feminist boards helped me enormously.

And on yet another note, I’m tempted by a Eufy… But which model should I get? Recommendations welcome!

HopingForOurRainbowBaby · 23/08/2021 00:22

@donewithitalltodayandxmas

Can't believe people don't like steam mops I find mine quick and easy and floor practically dry, much better than mopping Zoflora is ok but not as amazing as I thought it would be
I love mine too. The one I have has all the attachments with it too and cleaned the top of my cooked up lovely. I'd tried everything on it but couldn't shift the burnt on marks, not even with the highly recommended pink stuff that I spent hours scrubbing at it with. Put the steamer onto it and it blasted it off straight away. Plus living in a hard water area it cleaned my shower screen up lovely too. For those who say it just spreads muck around. It doesn't if you sweep the floor first. I usually sweep it to get all the big bits of kitty litter up off the bathroom floor, which is akin to standing on Lego in bare feet, then have a quick run through with the hoover the get the dusty bits up and then steam it afterwards, Same with my kitchen floor
DeepNorthFarmGardening · 23/08/2021 00:34

@Bloodypunkrockers

You need to be a Contortionist to hang anything

If you are hanging stuff on a heated airer thats where you are going wrong.

You don't hang stuff on it you lay it flat in layers like a lasagne. Then chuck a sheet over the top. Unless you are layering a full load of jeans on, it dries pretty quickly.

Pretty sure it says that in the instructions....

me4real · 23/08/2021 00:45

Oh and I tried a Womaniser. Expensive and I can't find my own clit, so useless for me really. Suppose I should give it another go.

-Magic Wand Girl.

SeaDreaming · 23/08/2021 01:00

Proper Nutty's slightly salted peanut butter. Total convert now.

Greystray · 23/08/2021 01:03

Descaling the kitchen sink taps with a 2p coin worked like magic. Trying it on the ceramic sink upstairs scratched it to buggery Sad I shouldn't have got carried away...

dottypencilcase · 23/08/2021 01:05

Tony's chocolate- it was shit.

BeefSupreme · 23/08/2021 01:27

Drawing diagrams of where my neighbour parked his car

My Perifit.

everythingbackbutyou · 23/08/2021 01:57

Lucy and Yak dungarees. Love them.

Guineapigbridge · 23/08/2021 02:24

La Roche Posay sunblock. It's great.
Washable pads/liners and period pants. Game changers.
Washable nappies and laundry tips for washable nappies. Thank you MN.

Guineapigbridge · 23/08/2021 02:26

Also Tracey Hogg's EASY method for baby sleeping and eating routines (many, many moons ago before attachment parenting ruined mothers' lives forever)

ThumbWitchesAbroad · 23/08/2021 04:28

A glass grater - was good for mushing bananas and apples easily for weaning purposes with DS1 (and later DS2)

Low carbing - worked really well the first time, very slow to regain the weight after, but the second time was disappointing in both weight loss and weight rebound gain terms. :(

HelgaDownUnder · 23/08/2021 05:39

An instant pot. As soon as they came on sale in Australia I was presold.
I love it, and am about to order additional liners for batch cooking. I can have the next batch up ready to go as soon as I pull the old one out.

ClaryFairchild · 23/08/2021 05:39

Dishwasher vodka

Matched betting

(Not at the same time - l!!)

I think I must be showing my MN age here, I think the dishwasher vodka was at least 8 years ago, if not longer..... and was freaking awesome! Made for an incredibly messy school mums get together!
