Philadelphia on Dark choc digestive, apparently tastes like cheesecake.

Nope - tastes like Philadelphia on a dark chocolate digestive! Disappointing

Avon Glimmersticks-great!
Tightlining-amazing!
Ending marriage-hopefully going to be great.
Bedlinen laundering on a rota instead of randomly-great!
Mumsnet haircut-excellent as long as you follow all the steps.

Vanguard Lifestrategy ISA. Made 7% so far this year on our savings compared to less than 1& with cash isa. And we have only been with Vanguard for a few months.

A penis beaker

Not really.

dogseggs · 23/08/2021 07:01

A Didrikson coat. I love mine! I wish I had enough money to buy all of them.

Making a change from the expensive stuff, Astonish mould spray. 99p and all the horrible orange mould vanished and stayed gone for weeks.

Philips lumea Boundaries The organised mum method Burnt Aubergine Chilli Bedding sets in pillow cases

All brilliant. I really love mumsnet, it's a fantastic resource connecting women with different lives, experience and expertise. I would go so far as to say I am a more confident person because of the influence of women on here.

Oooo! Can you share the burnt aubergine chilli recipe please??? @partofyoupoursoutofme

How to deal with a narc (wisdom that would have literally changed the trajectory of my life had I known it 25 years earlier); how to recognise coercive control; how to get angry enough about it to fully reclaim power and purpose in my own life.

And Nanoblur.

Bloody love MN.

Dishwasher vodka

@ClaryFairchild Ooh, interesting. What did you find were the best things to put in the mix?

plenty of films and tv series

@MrsLargeEmbodied Which ones do you recommend?

ClaryFairchild · 23/08/2021 16:09

@me4real - Terry's chocolate orange was particularly fantastic for the dishwasher vodka.

me4real · 23/08/2021 16:14

ooh sounds nice

ACreakingGateNeverStops · 23/08/2021 16:21

@Grapewrath

A cashmere cardigan- one Simone on here was raving about. An expensive way to look like my nan 🤣
This made me laugh. I have an expensive cardi from Brora, really expensive even in the sale. I feel I am channelling my nan each time I wear it, it's even a colour I remember her wearing alot !!😂 I think of it as a tribute to her each time I wear it 😁

Trust deodorant, put it on and forget about smelling no matter how hot it is or how hard you're working for 3 - 5 days. My stinky DH is over the moon.

Flying monkeys and circus mantra works well in my head.

Setting boundaries only seems to make things worse. It seems to motivate the offending person to push even harder to get what they want. It exposes them when they've flaunted clearly set up boundaries so that the boundary setting person has a defendable position they can argue from.

Ultimately, I think if you need to set boundaries with people then they are most likely the ones that won't abide by them.

mafted · 23/08/2021 17:28

Good things-
TOMM
Eufy
Steam mop
Iceland mince pies
Bullet journal
Pram and then double pram were MN recommended
Nesti Dante soap
Oil cleansing
Taking out £10- 20 in pound coins at the start of each term for school bits and bobs
Moon cup
A lovely poster reminding me I did have firm boundaries like toothbrushing and sitting in a car seat when back when DC3 was being a challenging toddler,
PoP rainwear for toddlers,
Baileys in the milk frother,
M&S Brazilian high waisted knickers although they seem to have stopped doing them,

Things that didn't work-
Curly girl- hair was curlier but looked greasy and my scalp was really itchy have changed to SLS free products though,
Aldi hot cloth cleanser made me itch,
Pinching middle fingers to stop hiccups didn't work,
Christmas stocking for my DC extra faff and now my DC expect them,
The chicken Kiev on a slice of bread thing was incredibly underwhelming,
Lots of recommendations from Aldi weren't good,
The satisfier pro, it made me orgasm quickly but it was so hard it was unpleasant and painful like a kick in the fanjo. Then I couldn't have another one for a couple of weeks after as everything felt numb Hmm

Dippydinosaurus · 23/08/2021 17:38

@Wiredforsound

Soolantra. Amazing stuff for my rosacea.
Sorry to quote an old pp but I asked my GP about this as I've only ever heard about it on MN. First he said he'd never heard of it, then (googled) checked and found it was only available in Scotland Confused.
MrsLargeEmbodied · 23/08/2021 18:01

Omg. That's amazing. About boundry breakers.

Burford eggs!

Nayday · 23/08/2021 19:02

@PandemicAtTheDisco boundaries control what you do, not what the other person - that's the sheer flipping genius of them. That's not to say they won't be pushed against - that's where grey rock-ing comes in.. beautiful!

I also love zoflora but that probably doesn't help much with boundaries 😂
