Philadelphia on Dark choc digestive, apparently tastes like cheesecake.

Nope - tastes like Philadelphia on a dark chocolate digestive! Disappointing

@ExConstance

Folding all the spare bed linen for each bed into one of the pillowcases, never lose any of it in the airing cupboard now and the duvet covers stay looking just ironed, when I don't actually iron them at all.
Whaaaat? This is actually genius.
BunnyRuddington · 22/03/2021 18:49

Forgot completely about talc DF the beach and I also discovered The Organised Mum Method which I love, although I'm not strict about it. Tried the Fly Lady and never got past the blasted "shiny sink".

Riapia · 22/03/2021 19:12

Tried using no as a complete sentence.

Didn’t work.

With DD 11.

Apparently it’s not fair.

MaMaLa321 · 22/03/2021 19:24

Steam cleaners were really big on MN a while back. So I bought one. Not my best idea, but, from the way posters talked about it, it was the best thing ever.

nobodysdaughter · 22/03/2021 19:26

A silicon toilet brush.

BigPaperBag · 22/03/2021 19:27

An air frier. Never heard of one before using MN but we now use it at least 3 times a week and I love it. Such a great buy.

BrilliantBetty · 22/03/2021 19:31

M&S tinned soup. And tinned chicken in white sauce.
Got to love M&S. I particularly enjoyed the newly discovered curried lentil soup. Thanks MN.

Jijithecat · 22/03/2021 19:35

Good
The Hearts Invisible Furies by John Boyne - love that book!
Efteling
Kelling Heath
Instantpot

Not so good
Didn't like the Korean exfoliating mitts although admittedly I didn't have a soak in the bath first.

RampantIvy · 22/03/2021 19:48

Having a long soak is absolutely key. If you don't have a bath or don't have time to soak, it isn't worth doing.

@PolloDePrimavera SE Was a cracking wee phone, think they shot themselves in the foot a bit getting rid of it initially to be honest, they must have had some motivation to bringing it back and also designing another small phone too

I was directed towards 2 ingredient flat breads which are fabulous

The frugal foodies threads during lockdown 1 were massively helpful for reducing food waste and broadening my menu

@Bloodypunkrockers

@Geography101

www.amazon.com/TagBand-Removal-Device-Medium-Large/dp/B00RVYW2PY

Try this, it's fab.

twilightcafe · 22/03/2021 21:24

A USB lighter. Great for fires, but rubbish with candles because the tiniest bit of wax clogs up the heating filament.

Titsywoo · 22/03/2021 21:59

Instant Pot - love it, use it all the time
Babyliss Big Hair - awful, my long hair got badly caught in it all the time, gave it to MIL
Rigby and Peller - fantastic if expensive

JamieFrasersBigSwingingKilt · 22/03/2021 23:48

@ThroughThickAndThin01

Jamie a kit you can buy inexpensively on Amazon. Puts a tiny elastic band at the base and they drop off after about a week. Hope that helps.
@ThroughThickAndThin01 thanks for the tip!
DorisDances · 23/03/2021 06:31

Smile and nod - very useful!

partofyoupoursoutofme · 23/03/2021 06:42

Philips lumea
Boundaries
The organised mum method
Burnt Aubergine Chilli
Bedding sets in pillow cases

All brilliant. I really love mumsnet, it's a fantastic resource connecting women with different lives, experience and expertise. I would go so far as to say I am a more confident person because of the influence of women on here.

Dobby101 · 23/03/2021 14:25

. I would go so far as to say I am a more confident person because of the influence of women on here.

Yes, I think I would too. I certainly feel like I place a higher value on my own time / preference/ abilities than I did before I found MN. In hindsight I was a push over.

Carriemac · 24/03/2021 08:09

I have found my confident voice due to Mumsnet - and a eufy Smile

BodgertheJogger · 22/08/2021 22:06

Nifedipine for my bad raynauds (circulation issues that result in very cold extremities, and also in my case, my general core).
Worked great after I told my GP of my problem. He listened to me and put me straight on it. Experimented with dosages and I'm on nearly the highest one and it makes my life better. I used to genuinely fear the winter for the cold.

LaurieFairyCake · 22/08/2021 22:07

Anal

(Not really)

BodgertheJogger · 22/08/2021 22:08

I think the grey rock method would be successful.

DismantledKing · 22/08/2021 22:09

I’ve become a poo troll

CoodleMoodle · 22/08/2021 22:14

I bought a Kindle Paperwhite. I love it and it's got me back into reading again, so thank you to whoever it was who started a thread about Kindles a few weeks ago!

DillonPanthersTexas · 22/08/2021 22:15

Center Parcs euphemism.
