Philadelphia on Dark choc digestive, apparently tastes like cheesecake.

Nope - tastes like Philadelphia on a dark chocolate digestive! Disappointing

Nextrend garlic twister. Can't remember who recommended it, but it's great so thanks.

greycloudysky · 21/03/2021 15:42

Wool duvet, sent it back.
Eufy hoover, bought two.
Zoflora, had never heard of this before MN and it's horrible.
Soda crystals, MN got me into these years ago as I couldn't get my kitchen floor clean, it was made of this strange material but soda crystals worked.

Tangledtresses · 21/03/2021 15:44

I told my friend about rubber brooms
She doesn't like it 😂

AnnaSW1 · 21/03/2021 15:44

Korean Italy towels. Magical things

Landofthefree · 21/03/2021 15:47

A Lakeland heated clothes airer. It is used very regularly!

HandyBendySandy · 21/03/2021 15:49

Girlfriend jeans. I tried asking on the thread lauding them if they were a bad idea for someone short and fat (size 16-18) but no-one replied, so I tried them.

Can confirm, bad idea for anyone short and fat with no waist. I looked as shapely as a double bed.

Ooh @Wiredforsound, tell me more, did the Rosex not do much for you? I'm using it diligently and although there is a small improvement in the general bumpy rash, I'm still getting proper spots. Shall I ask for the ivermectin based one when my 8 weeks is up?

CatRatSplat · 21/03/2021 15:49

Having a box under the sofa with nappies, mat, wipes, cream etc all ready and stocked each day to save having to trudge baby, toddler and me upstairs for each change. Much easier to grab and use. Kept the nappy bag ready for going out house too.

Moon Cup - Felt like I had a giant silicone cup up my vagina all day

Shark vacuum - Not any better than any other vacuum and keeps getting clogged

Jané Car Seat - Absolute faff to get in and out the car, weighs a ton. Great for newborn to sleep in though

GratitudeGoddess · 21/03/2021 15:53

I second the heated clothes airer

RunHobbitRun · 21/03/2021 16:03

Grey rock - brilliant technique that's placed me in charge of crazy family interactions instead of fearing them

Running - stumbled on a C25K thread, folk made it sound possible for a short fat person to do...9 months on I'm running 20k a week.

Oh the mooncup evangelists drive me crazy. Ask about the best tampons-'What about a Mooncup?' no thank you I want to know about tampons. Hmm

Frozen grapes are like sweets. No they are not.

Ham in Coke used to be THE thing. But it is revolting.

Sparklingbrook · 21/03/2021 16:04

@seepingweeping

Aldi Q10 serum. It's amazing
tell us more...
DJattheendoftheworld · 21/03/2021 16:05

Korean Italy towels - did nothing for me.

Josh wood hair colour - love it!

bonfireheart · 21/03/2021 16:07

The Ordinary - everyone raves about it, but honestly after a couple of days using it genuinely felt like myself was about to peel off.

merryhouse · 21/03/2021 16:09

Astral cream for your face - nope, far too heavy
Sainsbury's fish fingers - great the first couple of boxes, then the next four all tasted mouldy

olympicsrock · 21/03/2021 16:11

Eufy
Janelle sea salt
Heated aired (but the John Lewis one is even better !)

EmpressWitchDoesntBurn · 21/03/2021 16:13

Reusable sanitary towels. Life changing.

Soreen banana bars. Delicious.

IsAnybodyListening · 21/03/2021 16:14

Oh Crap. Embarrassed to admit this. But you know how posters seem to get the piss taken out of them when they claim a single chicken can make multiple meals for an entire football team for a week (ok, I'm exaggerating a little) Anyway, one day (with bloody MN in mind) I basically side eyed that chicken carcass left over from the roast, and now EVERY time I cook chicken I automatically make a stock to use the next day or freeze. So thanks to MN I am now a person that makes soup. Also it's bloody delicious and I'm making one tomorrow.

BunnyRuddington · 21/03/2021 16:15

Soolantra for me as well. Think I'd tried everything till I started using this stuff. Literally life changing.

Crankley · 21/03/2021 16:17

Making strawberry jam in the microwave. Not great unless you like congealed jam coating the inside of the microwave. [

missbridgerton · 21/03/2021 16:18

Charlotte Tilbury make up. Spend £200 on a full set after reading glowing recommendations. Whole lot went in the bin within weeks, my DDs wouldn't touch it either. It's the worst crap imaginable in high end packaging. I'm still angry about it years on.

Realised I'd been well and truly had by a bot on here. Never again.

EssentialHummus · 21/03/2021 16:24

This. I’m glad it wasn’t just me. It took up most of the backseat of a Mercedes and DD had outgrown in by four months.

ThreeKneeRepeater · 21/03/2021 16:25

De scaling your taps with a 2p coin. Nope.
Kerastase shampoo and conditioner. £40 wasted.
Lots of things from the fab thread a while ago regarding what supermarket gems people recommend. Love Crosta y Mollica products, Mutti tinned tomatoes, Aldi Jaffa cakes, and loads of other things I’d never have tried.
Oh, and Aldi Salted Pretzel Chocolate Bars. Damn you MN.

4Minions2CallMyOwn · 21/03/2021 16:30

Getting a Eufy- amazing!
Getting a Dishwasher- amazing!

TSSDNCOP · 21/03/2021 16:32

A steam cleaner. Expensive, shit - it just spread the crap it steamed out over a bigger, wetter area Hmm
