My mil has said that because I'm 30 this year we'd better get a move on and have babies soon because otherwise I'll be too old.. Hmm

I'm having yet another miscarriage so this feels a bit of a slap in the face tbh. I know that the risk increases with age but I'm 30 not 50!

Aibu to tell her to go away and I'll have a baby when I've lost weight and if that's a year or so who gives a shit

How awful, OP Flowers i have mine at 35 - no issues at all.

Cam2020 · 16/03/2021 19:04

All my friends have had theirs between the ages of 32 and 41.

Cleverpolly3 · 16/03/2021 19:04

notalwaysalondoner · 16/03/2021 19:05

I will have my first at 31. Started TTC at 29 but had two miscarriages over the year or so before we conceived this one.

chloemarie29 · 16/03/2021 19:05

I had my daughter at 17 and my son at 20

bloodywhitecat · 16/03/2021 19:06

27 and 28 for my birth children.

nuggles · 16/03/2021 19:06

33, 35 and 38. All low risk. My midwife told me last year that they're delivering more babies to women in their 30s than any other age bracket at the moment

I love the fact I've had mine in my thirties as we are more financially stable and less of a worry in terms of career etc

dropthedeadhorse · 16/03/2021 19:06

35 and 38

crochetlove · 16/03/2021 19:07

17,19, 22, 28, 30 and 40

Strokethefurrywall · 16/03/2021 19:07

DC1 - Just shy of 32
DC2 - 34

I'm 41 now and wouldn't feel too old for another if I was so inclined.

80sMum · 16/03/2021 19:09

I was quite young, 22, 24 & 25, though not considered particularly young at the time.

RosieGirl27 · 16/03/2021 19:09

23 and I will be 24 when I have this one. I’m done after this though, pregnancy and child rearing is exhausting and I’m glad I’m getting it done in one swoop.

Youseethethingis · 16/03/2021 19:11

This is why people who question other people’s reproductive status or choices make me burn with a white hot rage.
What fucking right has anyone, even MILs, got to make you feel this way?
Honestly, multiple miscarriages, medical conditions which impair conception, rounds of IVF... all these things are intensely personal and most people don’t share them too widely, so as you don’t know what someone’s going through why would you ever open your big fat gob this wide???
I’m so sorry about your babies Flowers

huggzy · 16/03/2021 19:11

21 and 24.

NeedCoffeeToSurvive · 16/03/2021 19:12

I was 23 when my son was born, I'll be 26 in July when my daughter arrives.

CoalCraft · 16/03/2021 19:12

Had #1 at 26, hoping that #2 will be along before I'm 30 but that's because I want to get the baby bits out the way quickly, not because there's anything wrong with having kids at 40+ FFS

Most of the women with children I know had a child in their 30s. For many of those women they had their first in their 30s.

alexis4theppl · 16/03/2021 19:12

32 and would like another in the next few years. I'm 35 now and plenty of my friends of similar age don't have any yet x

Zelda93 · 16/03/2021 19:16

42

shivawn · 16/03/2021 19:20

Having my first one now at 34....no regrets. My 20's and early 30's were amazing, spent most of them travelling and working abroad. Met my now husband at age 20 so we've had a ton of time to enjoy life just the two of us!

weegiemum · 16/03/2021 19:27

I was 29 with dd1, 31 with ds and 32 with dd2.

Tempusfudgeit · 16/03/2021 19:28

39, 40 and 43. We feel very lucky.

MaryShelley1818 · 16/03/2021 19:29

BakewellGin1 · 16/03/2021 19:31
