What age did you have you babies?

My mil has said that because I'm 30 this year we'd better get a move on and have babies soon because otherwise I'll be too old..

I'm having yet another miscarriage so this feels a bit of a slap in the face tbh. I know that the risk increases with age but I'm 30 not 50!

Aibu to tell her to go away and I'll have a baby when I've lost weight and if that's a year or so who gives a shit

28 and 31, will try for a third next year so hopefully have one when I’m 33 but took us 14 months to fall each time so will see what happens.

Had first at 20, pregnant now at 27 and we want to another one straight away. For me personally I don’t want any after 30 due to having my first at 20. I don’t want to spent most of my life child rearing.

I was young compared to the other parents.
Infact one of mine came home recently telling me how most of her friends parents were 10-20 years older than me.

OP I'm so sorry you're going through this and that your MiL is so thoughtless and insensitive.
I had my two at 28 but loads of my friends have had their first in their thirties and I know quite a few people that have had children in their late thirties and early forties.

That’s such an unkind thing of her to say. I was 30, but needed IVF at 27 and it took 3 years.

32 and 35.

18 22 25 27 I'm now 36 and occasionally long for a baby, but we have a super life now and do so much but when they were little it was bloody hard.

35 and just about to hatch another at 39.

Tell her your ovaries are none of her business and to keep her nose out!

30 & 35 some of my friends had babies at 18, some have just had them at 41. You're definitely not too old.

41. Nearly all of my close friends had their babies after 35 and I am not the oldest mum.

30 and 33. My sister had hers at 36. And I was one of the younger mums from my daughter's primary school cohort.

Honestly, the 'fertility collapse after 35' thing is based on data that is literally hundreds of years old. And it's very insensitive to bring it up when you've had m/c (for which I'm very sorry), or does she not know? If she doesn't I'd be inclined to tell her so she learns to think before speaking about things like this...

35 and I’ll be 37, almost 38 with this one. We started TTC when I was 31 though. Didn’t conceive until 34.

25&26. I was the first among my friends. We are mid thirties now and some are just starting.
30s are average now.

21+22 so pretty young, would still consider 30 as young!

So sorry to hear of your miscarriage your DH needs to tell your MIL to pack it in and tell her how insensitive and unkind she's being.

30 isn't old. I had mine at 30 and 32, planning another when I will be around 35,36.

Life didn't work out as planned, otherwise I would have been younger, but you've definitely got time.

I had mine at 19 and 22.

1st baby at 21, last baby at 27.

Now aged 50 and grandmother to 4. We do babies early in our family.

18 and 25, really struggled with my second being a lot older and personally wouldn’t have kids after 30 but that’s my own preference.. I wouldn’t say it’s too old for kids, just too old for me to have kids!

41. There was only one woman in my NCT class in her 20s. Everyone was in their 30’s... your MIL is from a generation that probably married young and had babies much younger.
