What age did you have you babies?

My mil has said that because I'm 30 this year we'd better get a move on and have babies soon because otherwise I'll be too old..

I'm having yet another miscarriage so this feels a bit of a slap in the face tbh. I know that the risk increases with age but I'm 30 not 50!

Aibu to tell her to go away and I'll have a baby when I've lost weight and if that's a year or so who gives a shit

So sorry to hear about your miscarriage and I hope you’re being looked after.

I had mine at 42 having had some miscarriages. I assumed the miscarriages were due to my age, but my consultant Pooh-poohed this as he said that we’re all individuals with different bodies and he never looks at fertility as an age thing, citing my excellent test results in all the tests they do (which I’ve long since forgotten).

So I’d politely tell your MIL to get stuffed.

32 & 35. Most people seem to have babies in their 30s nowadays. Sorry for your loss

I had my first at 21 and my second in my mid 20s. 30 isn’t “you better get a move on” territory though. At least I hope not as I’m mid 30s and want another one!

I’m so sorry for your loss it’s hard enough without someone breaking down your neck telling you to hurry up on something you have little to no control over.

32 after years of infertility treatment. Definitely have your partner say something without giving full details of you aren’t comfortable

25, 27 and if my 3rd baby comes by their due date May 1st I'll be 28 (my birthday is May 15th so could potentially have just turned 29 if they're late).

29 and 31 but I am the first of my friendship group.

If you wait a year or 2 you'll be early to mid 30s which sounds perfect to me. Enough time to establish a career and be more secure financially and lose a bit of weight if you want, but pleeeenty of time to get help if you were unlucky and didn't manage to conceive naturally.

Honestly it's your uterus; tell your MIL to keep her opinions to her own uterus.

16, 24 and 26. Am now 28 Thinking maybe a number 4 sometime when I'm about 32ish. All my friends have no kids yet or just starting ttc. When I'm 32 my eldest with be 16. I could very well be a granny. Hope not but we'll see.

I'm sorry about your miscarriage. 🤗 I had my babies at 26 & 27. I have friends (we are in our early 30s) who haven't had kids yet. Ignore your MIL.

First at 35 (nearly 36) and due my second soon when I'll be almost 40!

25, 29, 31, 39.

21, 24, 27 but I think I was very young compared to the average.
None of my friends really had babies until late 20s / early 30s

33. It felt just the right age for me.
