to ask if you ever wonder about certain posters/threads?

i’ve used MN for years, and i often think about particular threads or posters that stuck out to me or i interacted with ages ago that i haven’t been able to find (or just seemed to stop posting without a trace) since then.

anyone else get strangely nostalgic/curious thinking back to threads/posters and wonder what became of them?

I always wondered what happened to Cog. She disappeared around the hacking time a few years ago

I thought she was abrasive.

@DamnYouAutoCatRectal I was just thinking of that woman in Australia, it was wonderful seeing her slowly emerge from the PND and be able to engage with her baby.

I sometimes think of a poster who had Lavender in her name. She left her controlling husband and came back to the UK.

Oh yes I remember mitmoo and beesimo (were they perhaps sockpuppets?) I was involved in one of the fast moving and inflammatory threads. It's all a bit vague now but I seem to remember them both goading and provoking a large number of people only to be told we were bullies. And MN moved quickly to stop any TAATS about them for ages and ages afterwards (I still feel a bit wary of mentioning them now)

I think of her occasionally too. I wonder if she still has her Boden coat and if she ever started another relationship.

I’m not a regular poster but there was one lady who stuck in my mind. She had anxiety and her and her husband were in debt. She had a ten month old and had never worked apart from for a short time so her husband had supported her but he was now wanting her to get a job too. The husband seemed really supportive and I felt so sorry for her - she clearly wanted to contribute but her anxiety was just holding her back with everything. I think she got a few hours cleaning work. I hope she is okay and has managed to get some more help for her anxiety. She seemed so lovely.
