We nearly lost the word mother and all that comes with it?

The maternity bill wanted to remove the word mother/woman and replace it with pregnant person.
Those words are important and women have fought for a century to be recognised yet we were nearly wiped out in favour of belief not fact.

I wont say "I am not transphobic" like some sort of plea! I dont actually have to I am just fighting for womens rights no need for me to explain myself any further.

Of course it is. Once you do that any man/male can be a woman. Thats the goal.

Unlikely they would do that. As they would be mother's if they continued the pregnancy. There's nothing expectant about a birth if a woman or girl is having a termination.

You wouldn’t seek the help of an abortion clinic unless you were an expectant mother. Whether your brain likes it or not, your body is making a mother out of you. Besides, describing you as a parent wouldn’t make you feel any better about it while seeking your abortion.

If the thread gets so bogged down with ridiculous arguments lurkers lose interest, people can't e bthered to engage and the debate turns into a stupid argument.

1 : an adult male human being

and that is the recognised dictionary definition, scientific definition, biological definition - need I go on?

Yes it does...in old English if you had bothered to read any further. Back in the day when women were so unimportant we didn't even have a word.
We have a word and it is recognised and we are not about to give it up.

The real question you have to ask yourself is why a person would be so desperate to argue the point that certain members of society don't deserve a word to define themselves and what that person has to gain from that?

I would say anyone who takes an interest in womens rights has known the answer for a while.

Seriously who would hate the word woman so much they use the most ridiculous arguments to fight for its erasure.....?

This is why we need clear definitions and correct terminology. Especially in law. Otherwise people can get very confused ^^
