Question for couples. Double or King size?

I moved in with my partner 6 months ago and everything is great except he has a double bed and I'm a restless sleeper and he gives off a ton of heat.
I've said we should get a king size as that's what most people have.
He seems to think it's not the bed and that I'm the one with a problem and that most people have double beds and get on alright with them.
I'd have a super king if it was me but the room wouldn't take it.
So AIBU for not wanting to spend every night squashed up in a double bed?
If you're a couple what do you have?

Super king....we recently down sized to a king size with the attitude of 'what's a few inches'. A lot. Those inches count!

Two kings in separate rooms. We are not compatible when it comes to sleeping. I like it cold, hubby is a furnace, I toss and turn, he is a light sleeper. Both snore or heavy breath.

Will only book a hotel with a king or if we can two doubles.

Never slept in anything bigger than a double with anyone. It's always been fine 🤷🏻‍♀️

We have a king but should have got a super king ,as on a Sunday morning both kids pile in and I find myself with one ass cheek hanging off the bed whilst I am pretending to be asleep so I don't have to watch Peppa or Paw patrol.

We manage with a double. We don't let kids in bed though as there wouldn't be room! Wish we could have a bigger bed but our room is small

King plus own duvets! Not romantic, but good for sleep!

We have a super king with separate duvets. Can't sleep in a double. But when he is snoring badly I would prefer separate houses.

King size for us, and we're both quite small .

King but we will get a super king when our family is complete and we will no longer need room for a cot.

We have a Super King, I’m only little but DH is 6ft 2in, plus the dog sleeps with us too!

We have a super king but I think we’ll go down to a king next time. Never a double though, we have to sleep in one at MILs and I always leave shattered because I have such a crap sleep

Double beds are for single adults. Love my king size but if I had the right shaped room I would 100% have a super king.

We have a superking, I’m six foot so I need the length, superking as it was a second hand bedframe and I needed a new mattress, the price between king and super wasn’t a great deal. Then we have that our bed usually contains two adults, a five year old, a dog, cat and stuffed dinosaur.

The type of mattress makes a huge difference as well, we have a very good memory foam so we can move around without making the mattress bounce about.

Super king for us, and sometimes separate rooms. (DH snores like a bear and I'm a ridiculously light sleeper.) We are very bad bedfellows...

King size. I'd have a super king if we had the space for it! I like to be able to stretch out

King. Sometimes get doubles in hotels and feels far too small.
Not enough space for a superking.

Just about to purchase a super king, no way is a double big enough!

We have a Superking bed to, much better than a King size, my DS has a double just for him, far to small for a couple.

We have a king, we are upgrading to a super king. Would hate a double.

I don’t know anyone who would purposefully go for less than the maximum that they could comfortably fit in their room. Bigger beds are always better! YANBU.
