Aggressive dog poo sign in my garden

Itsmyeffingarden · 17/02/2021 18:09

There is a sweary signpost been put up in my shared front garden telling people to clear up their shit with offending bag hanging on the post....
I live in 3 flat block we put our rubbish bags for binmen where the sign post is... Its written in big angry letters in red with exclamation marks!

Last night I couldn't sleep took small dog for walk at 4am he did a poo... I put it in bag put it by (my) rubbish bag as binmen come at 7 so would have been there max 3 hours noone knowing...
I overslept and missed binmen they didn't take the poo... Then sign appears...
I had a chat with neighbour who put it up agreeing how awful it is for people to leave their poo bags all over the place and yeah leave the sign where it is to make sure the scumbags know we are watching ...
Also chatted with husband about how awful it was doing the same...
Am I being unreasonable by 1) doing it in first place 2)lying shall I just carry it on? 3)thinking does my neighbour know its me and is doublebluffing

Why didn’t you bag the poo and then put it in your rubbish bag? Of course the bin men won’t take an individual poo bag left by the bins. So sorry, I do think you shouldn’t have left it.

HangOnToYourself · 17/02/2021 18:12

I dont understand, if it was in your bin how could they know?

WorraLiberty · 17/02/2021 18:12

Why was it 'by' your rubbish bag and not in it?

Itsmyeffingarden · 17/02/2021 18:13

I did bag the poo I had another bag to take out in morning I was going to put it in but overslept due to being up all night walking dog at 4am

Don’t leave bags of shit by the bins, put in the bin. Sorted.

HangOnToYourself · 17/02/2021 18:14

Oh I see. Why didnt you take the bin out while you were walking the dog?

Itsmyeffingarden · 17/02/2021 18:14

The actual rubbish bags were not out there but 4 bags of recycling were I was being a good citizen by not putting it in recycling and was going to put it in normal rubbish had I not overslept

You’ve been called out I’m afraid, you should feel guilty leaving little bags of shit lying around is horrible.

HeidiHaughton · 17/02/2021 18:15

Disgusting behaviour.

Itsmyeffingarden · 17/02/2021 18:16

Because the place is overrun with badgers and foxes and cats who rip open rubbish so u have to put proper rubbish out just before binmen arrive otherwise it would be a disaster

Not another poo tale.

Itsmyeffingarden · 17/02/2021 18:17

Lying around in MY front garden? By MY rubbish? Shared with another flat?

I dont think you win any awards by not putting dog shit in the recycling. Hmm So yeah, YABU to leave your poo bags out but I dont think there's anything to be gained by owning up.

1AngelicFruitCake · 17/02/2021 18:22

I’m confused, why didn’t you put it in your outdoor bin?

NoSquirrels · 17/02/2021 18:25

Eh, don’t worry about it. It’s highly unlikely the neighbour was up at 4am watching you bag but not bin dog poo. Unless you’re a serial offender, stop worrying. Sorry you missed the bin collection though - that sucks.

Cabinfever10 · 17/02/2021 18:26

If you can't be bothered bining it why bag it?
I've never understood why people think leaving bags of poo laying around or tied to poo trees is any better than not picking it up. Big hint neither are ok and poo trees are disgusting especially when the bags start bursting 🤮

QueenOfLabradors · 17/02/2021 18:29

I see we have the usual numbers of posters who can't be bothered to read the thread before adding their bit!

Candyforrest · 17/02/2021 18:30

I live in a 4 in a block. Ground floor flat with private garden to front of block. My neighbour upstairs sends his dog onto my garden which is totally Covered in dog shit. I have approached him after having picked up half a carrier bag full. I got my note back with cheek on the reverse of the note. So now he has moved his council bins onto my garden. This guys front garden is significantly bigger but looks like Steptoes back yard. It's a rubbish dump and now we are having ping ping with his bins which I removed back to his garden only for him to put them back on mine again. Also despite having a massive private garden to the rear of the property he has a kids swimming pool and tarpaulin plus a bike, wheelbarrow and his garden waste bin in the drying green space which is shared access and should be clear of personal stuff. Having a rant but I am truly pissed off with his attitude and behaviours.

DogsSausages · 17/02/2021 18:30

Why cant you take it home and flush it down the loo. Leaving it out in a bag is gross, especially if you know other animals rip bags open.

Playnoh · 17/02/2021 18:30

I can’t stand it when people leave their dog poo all over the show. Why didn’t you put it in the bin. Yabvu.

NoSquirrels · 17/02/2021 18:33

@1AngelicFruitCake

I’m confused, why didn’t you put it in your outdoor bin?
Clearly because there isn’t a bin for black bag rubbish (unusually) if the foxes and badgers tear open bin bags left outside...
DogsSausages · 17/02/2021 18:33

You can buy fox proof bins and cheap plastic bin stores

Pumperthepumper · 17/02/2021 18:35

Where is it now?

KezzabellaB · 17/02/2021 18:36

You don't live in South Yorkshire do you?!

1AngelicFruitCake · 17/02/2021 18:37

Thanks NoSquirrels😄
Still confused! Where is rubbish stored all week?
