Aggressive dog poo sign in my garden

104 replies

Itsmyeffingarden · 17/02/2021 18:09

There is a sweary signpost been put up in my shared front garden telling people to clear up their shit with offending bag hanging on the post....
I live in 3 flat block we put our rubbish bags for binmen where the sign post is... Its written in big angry letters in red with exclamation marks!

Last night I couldn't sleep took small dog for walk at 4am he did a poo... I put it in bag put it by (my) rubbish bag as binmen come at 7 so would have been there max 3 hours noone knowing...
I overslept and missed binmen they didn't take the poo... Then sign appears...
I had a chat with neighbour who put it up agreeing how awful it is for people to leave their poo bags all over the place and yeah leave the sign where it is to make sure the scumbags know we are watching ...
Also chatted with husband about how awful it was doing the same...
Am I being unreasonable by 1) doing it in first place 2)lying shall I just carry it on? 3)thinking does my neighbour know its me and is doublebluffing

OP posts:

Why didn’t your husband take the bins out as you overslept? Am I confused?

gnashingsalt · 18/02/2021 00:07

@Candyforrest

I live in a 4 in a block. Ground floor flat with private garden to front of block. My neighbour upstairs sends his dog onto my garden which is totally Covered in dog shit. I have approached him after having picked up half a carrier bag full. I got my note back with cheek on the reverse of the note. So now he has moved his council bins onto my garden. This guys front garden is significantly bigger but looks like Steptoes back yard. It's a rubbish dump and now we are having ping ping with his bins which I removed back to his garden only for him to put them back on mine again. Also despite having a massive private garden to the rear of the property he has a kids swimming pool and tarpaulin plus a bike, wheelbarrow and his garden waste bin in the drying green space which is shared access and should be clear of personal stuff. Having a rant but I am truly pissed off with his attitude and behaviours.
what’s any of that got to do with the OP Confused
midnightstar66 · 18/02/2021 04:12

Not everywhere has wheelie bins. What do you think happens in places with no front gardens and no rear access?

Communal bins on the street normally. Even when I lived in the middle of nowhere 20 years ago the bags went inside an enclosed bin at the end of our farm track as the bin men didn't come down it. I've lived all over the UK and also abroad and have never seen bags just placed on the road since I was a child. There's foxes pretty much everywhere so there not last a minute most places.

@HeidiHaughton

Disgusting behaviour.
Oh give over.
WitchesBritchesPumpkinPants · 18/02/2021 05:09

@Cabinfever10

If you can't be bothered bining it why bag it? I've never understood why people think leaving bags of poo laying around or tied to poo trees is any better than not picking it up. Big hint neither are ok and poo trees are disgusting especially when the bags start bursting 🤮
FGS she bagged it because it's the decent thing to do. She put it where she was intending to put the main rubbish bag in the morning & could put it in, but she accidentally overslept and missed the bin men.

She didn't hang it in a tree so don't lay that in, she put it in a bag, in her garden.

WitchesBritchesPumpkinPants · 18/02/2021 05:10

@QueenOfLabradors

I see we have the usual numbers of posters who can't be bothered to read the thread before adding their bit!
Yep they're far more fucking annoying than someone putting their own dog poo bag in their own garden to put in the rubbish 🙇🏻‍♀️
WitchesBritchesPumpkinPants · 18/02/2021 05:18

@Magnificentmug12

That’s disgusting, you leave them on the floor by your bin!!! Put them IN the bin!
Jesus Christ what's with comprehension levels???? The bags there were fir recycling, she put it next to them so she could put it in the black bag in within the next 3 hours to be taken by the binmen. She overslept.

She left a bag in HER garden, not in a tree, not at the beach, not next to a public bin.

WitchesBritchesPumpkinPants · 18/02/2021 05:21

@Chloemol

Just put to bagged up poo in with your household rubbish bin. I don’t understand why you would leave it by the side. Lift the lid, pop it in, job done
Arghhhh try reading her posts!!!

Then you'd understand.

SD1978 · 18/02/2021 05:22

Still not get why you put it beside the bin and not in it. Makes absolutely no sense

GoodnightKevin · 18/02/2021 05:25

Is this a hidden SOS code from someone being held against their will? Are you ok? Blink twice for no...
Shineonyoucrazy · 18/02/2021 05:34

OP you made a mistake. That's all. We all make mistakes. Some of the responses here are really nasty even though people must be able to see this is really worrying you. You thought you'd pop the bag in the rubbish when put the rubbish out but you overslept. I don't think the neighbour knows it's you. Don't worry about it. Don't over think it. Look after yourself.

FortunesFave · 18/02/2021 05:37

you should have opened your rubbish bag and put the shit in there. Not left it by the bag.

stayingaliveisawayoflife · 18/02/2021 05:56

We are in a London borough. No wheelie bins just recycling bags and black bags. No one has bins outside because they won't pick them up to empty them.

susiebluebell · 18/02/2021 06:04

I am in Cornwall and we put the bin bags out on the road in the morning 😊

NoIDontWatchLoveIsland · 18/02/2021 06:21

I think the sign is a bit much if it's a one off but I'm willing to bet maybe its not.

If its happened even handful of times it can really gross people out, I detest seeing little bags full of shit. It there isnt a closed bin you don't leave those anywhere you take them with you (inside your own property if necessary) until you reach a closed bin.

BakedTattie · 18/02/2021 07:06

Do you not have a wheelie bin?!

peak2021 · 18/02/2021 07:09

I'm sure you'll put it in the bin next time.

Mind you, my first thought was hoping it is a large flat or a small dog or both. I'm not keen on dogs in flats or small properties, regardless of the owner.

butterpuffed · 18/02/2021 08:02

This thread has only run to four pages so how come so many posters haven't RTFT. OP does NOT HAVE a wheelie bin Hmm

tolerable · 18/02/2021 08:02

@GoodnightKevin . Despite everytime i ever (attempt)to 'get involved' in responses to topics on here I am some sort of snided at by someone(or a wee gang) who quite possibly havnt understood me.
So, you arent THAT big a deal on that score.maybe mumsnet could give me a flowery border or similar to alert you,and those like you-that i (clearly)havent mastered words n typing n people n dog poo
its a bit ironic actually...or the word when you was laughing at other peoples crazyness n some cnut turns it back to you.....thank funk we're all different eh.

MissBaskinIfYoureNasty · 18/02/2021 08:24

tolerable are you alright..?

Iris27 · 18/02/2021 08:35

So do people without wheelie bins have to store their rubbish in bags inside their house till collection day? Is it a weekly collection?

missing point of thread

tolerable · 18/02/2021 08:46

thank you,yes.fine.

mummybearhug · 18/02/2021 10:22

I think @tolerable is drunk

Rillington · 18/02/2021 10:25

You are disgusting. The bag should have been put in your own bin not left outside.
