Aggressive dog poo sign in my garden

Itsmyeffingarden · 17/02/2021 18:09

There is a sweary signpost been put up in my shared front garden telling people to clear up their shit with offending bag hanging on the post....
I live in 3 flat block we put our rubbish bags for binmen where the sign post is... Its written in big angry letters in red with exclamation marks!

Last night I couldn't sleep took small dog for walk at 4am he did a poo... I put it in bag put it by (my) rubbish bag as binmen come at 7 so would have been there max 3 hours noone knowing...
I overslept and missed binmen they didn't take the poo... Then sign appears...
I had a chat with neighbour who put it up agreeing how awful it is for people to leave their poo bags all over the place and yeah leave the sign where it is to make sure the scumbags know we are watching ...
Also chatted with husband about how awful it was doing the same...
Am I being unreasonable by 1) doing it in first place 2)lying shall I just carry it on? 3)thinking does my neighbour know its me and is doublebluffing

Yuck. If you keep a dog you have to pick up and dispose of it's poo. Not leave it lying around, in bags or otherwise. No excuses.

And yes your neighbour is on to you.

MyLittleOrangutan · 17/02/2021 18:46

What do you usually do with its poo? Why dont you have outside bins?

Itsmyeffingarden · 17/02/2021 18:49

Don't know why we have to use black bags that's how it is rubbish is stored in house or back garden till bin day and as for leaving it laying around all over the place no I do not I always pick it up dog does not shit in front garden and the bag was a biodegradable scented inoffensive teeny tiny bag this has happened Once...

HangOnToYourself · 17/02/2021 18:51

Dont you have wheely bins?

HildegardNightingale · 17/02/2021 18:54

Dog poo bags left everywhere drive me up the wall!! I say this as a dog owner as well.

DH and I are volunteer litter pickers for our county council. We spend hours picking up dog poo bags left hanging on hedges, shoved in corners, thrown in bushes.

Just do the right thing. Bag it and take it home and dispose of it properly.

Itsmyeffingarden · 17/02/2021 18:54

Where is the poo? In its pretty little pink nicely scented biodegradable bag hanging on the offensive to families sweary signpost I'm leaving it there now to show everyone else how they should deal with poo in case they are u educated like me

You left your dog poo in a shared space and didn’t put it in the bin. That’s selfish and wrong. It’s that simple, no one cares if you overslept or the bin men might come.

DogsSausages · 17/02/2021 18:59

Why dont you just buy a smaller lidded bin to put the scented dog poo bags in until collection day or flush it down the loo. Maybe you and ndn should think about safe binbags storage, it must be vile in the hot weather.

Oregano20 · 17/02/2021 19:02

I still can't get over that you don't have wheelie bins and you keep your rubbish in the house. Where are you going to put it all now that you've missed bin collection day?

I wouldn't be putting up with no wheelie bins that's crazy

1Morewineplease · 17/02/2021 19:02

I'm not sure about this... you are lazy and stupid. Why didn't you just pop it in your rubbish? Why did you aggressively leave the poo bag on the sign?
Silly , stupid and possibly trolling.
Off you trot...

midnightstar66 · 17/02/2021 19:02

Hang on, I'm confused. Don't you have wheely bins? Are you in the Uk?

IloveFebruary · 17/02/2021 19:03

Take a dump on the sign. That’ll teach them.

midnightstar66 · 17/02/2021 19:04

I think perhaps you misunderstand what the F in rtft stands for 👀

imalmostthere · 17/02/2021 19:05

Yeah yabu - put the shit bag in the bloody big bin.

Theunamedcat · 17/02/2021 19:08

@Candyforrest

I live in a 4 in a block. Ground floor flat with private garden to front of block. My neighbour upstairs sends his dog onto my garden which is totally Covered in dog shit. I have approached him after having picked up half a carrier bag full. I got my note back with cheek on the reverse of the note. So now he has moved his council bins onto my garden. This guys front garden is significantly bigger but looks like Steptoes back yard. It's a rubbish dump and now we are having ping ping with his bins which I removed back to his garden only for him to put them back on mine again. Also despite having a massive private garden to the rear of the property he has a kids swimming pool and tarpaulin plus a bike, wheelbarrow and his garden waste bin in the drying green space which is shared access and should be clear of personal stuff. Having a rant but I am truly pissed off with his attitude and behaviours.
Collect his dog shit empty it into his pool

And buy a catering size tub of cayenne pepper for your garden

All done after dark obviously

RaininSummer · 17/02/2021 19:08

Obviously you know not to do that again OP. I am not sure about the advice to flush it down the loo. Can anybody clarify if this is a good thing to do as I presumed not but not quite sure why.

Ah, so you left it there? Knowing it’s from your dog and it’s your responsibility? Proving you’re dirty and lazy? Good call.
LaceyBetty · 17/02/2021 19:12

Whoah! Obviously the crime of the century OP. You probably should have taken it in or tried to open the bag already outside, but some posters are making you sound like the laziest and most disgusting person ever. I'm sure you won't do it again, so I guess the sign worked. I wouldn't come clean and just not do it again and forget it.

HangOnToYourself · 17/02/2021 19:13

Hahaha I was doubting myself for a minute there wondering if I had been misinterpreting this for years
butterpuffed · 17/02/2021 19:15

Have you asked your council for wheelie bins ? I thought everyone had them.

Pumperthepumper · 17/02/2021 19:15

Just to echo a pp, I volunteer for a beach cleanup group and the number of dog mess bags we have to pick up front the beach since lockdown is absolutely fucking disgraceful. If you’re too stupid to pick up after your own dog then at least don’t bag it up first and give it a chance to get washed away. Really disgusting how people treat their own homes 🤮

MyLittleOrangutan · 17/02/2021 19:15

But what do you usually do with it? Why didn't you do that?

Who’s going to move that bag though? How long would you leave it outside your home?
Magnificentmug12 · 17/02/2021 19:16

That’s disgusting, you leave them on the floor by your bin!!! Put them IN the bin!
