Aggressive dog poo sign in my garden

Itsmyeffingarden · 17/02/2021 18:09

There is a sweary signpost been put up in my shared front garden telling people to clear up their shit with offending bag hanging on the post....
I live in 3 flat block we put our rubbish bags for binmen where the sign post is... Its written in big angry letters in red with exclamation marks!

Last night I couldn't sleep took small dog for walk at 4am he did a poo... I put it in bag put it by (my) rubbish bag as binmen come at 7 so would have been there max 3 hours noone knowing...
I overslept and missed binmen they didn't take the poo... Then sign appears...
I had a chat with neighbour who put it up agreeing how awful it is for people to leave their poo bags all over the place and yeah leave the sign where it is to make sure the scumbags know we are watching ...
Also chatted with husband about how awful it was doing the same...
Am I being unreasonable by 1) doing it in first place 2)lying shall I just carry it on? 3)thinking does my neighbour know its me and is doublebluffing

You're gross. HTH.

SplendidSuns1000 · 17/02/2021 19:17

Are you 5? Because I spoke to my nephew earlier who is 5 and he threw his dinner on the floor, got told off and then complained that he was told off for being naughty. I think you two would get along well. Smile

buckeejit · 17/02/2021 19:18

You don't have manners. You left litter. Shit litter. No idea why you think scents poo bags are better.

Never leave bags of shit anywhere. This is why there are bags of shit everywhere. Carry them to a bin straight away. Don't leave them anywhere as it's minging.

Rupertbeartrousers · 17/02/2021 19:27

If it was a one-off accident and you’re usually very fastidious with dog poo, I wouldn’t take it to heart and move on.

If you reverse it and you didn’t know the circumstances of the phantom poo bagger, you might assume it was done wilfully and put up a sign/be cross too. Most people are quite rightly militant about dog poo near their homes, particularly where children play. I’d put it down to experience and not dwell on it.

mumof2exhausted · 17/02/2021 19:29

You are disgusting. You left a bag of poo. Can’t understand how you don’t understand that is vile. Dog people are weird.

Itsmyeffingarden · 17/02/2021 19:31

What does hth mean? Whoever mentioned 5 yearolds yes I think we would get along great I love 5 yearolds I have one myself

You realise next time the neighbours see you picking up shit with your pretty pink bags they'll know it was you?
This all sounds rank tbh. Bin bags hanging about indoors until bin day??

@mumof2exhausted

You are disgusting. You left a bag of poo. Can’t understand how you don’t understand that is vile. Dog people are weird.
The only disgusting thing here is the way you are speaking to other people. A bit of dog poo hysteria and people think they can treat people like they've just murdered a puppy... get a grip. OP, I would have just owned up to it. You left it in your garden, not hanging up in the park or some random bush. Hardly crime of the century and you'll know not to repeat the same mistake with such sensitive neighbours. I regularly scoop the litter tray last thing at night and leave it in a bag outside my front door. I pop it in the outside bin when I take the dog out on the morning. Does this make me disgusting? 🤔
Chloemol · 17/02/2021 19:45

Just put to bagged up poo in with your household rubbish bin. I don’t understand why you would leave it by the side. Lift the lid, pop it in, job done

CoffeeRunner · 17/02/2021 19:47

I think the problem here is still having plastic bin bags. This wouldn’t happen with wheelie bins.

oakleaffy · 17/02/2021 19:50

Dog shite in bags is revolting. Dog shite not in bags is revolting.

Dog owners need to be really responsible. Clean up after your dogs!!!!

Plastic bags full of shit are awfully squalid and really drag an area down.

If you can't clean up responsibly..Don't get a dog! {Of any size}

We had two dogs, {Now RIP of old age} looking to get another, and ..People hate dogs because of the dog dirt left everywhere and the barking of under exercised and lonely dogs.
We have to be responsible.

makingmammaries · 17/02/2021 19:51

I think you need to deal properly with your own dog's poo and not make excuses.

PutThatDownNow · 17/02/2021 19:51

Just coming on to say I kind of understand what you did OP.

In the last place we lived we had black bags, no wheelie bins and plenty of foxes that would rip the bags up so I also used to rely on being up early to put the bins out. That was better than clearing up the mess of the ripped up bags. Not a dog owner but do understand the bin dilemma and also oversleeping and having to live with an extra week's worth of rubbish in the house.

Definitely too late to own up now. Just go with the sign and sighing about how disgraceful it all is, but be a good citizen and put it in your rubbish bag next week.

DavidsSchitt · 17/02/2021 20:36

You littered the place with a bag full of dog shit. Disgusting. Dispose of it properly

ineedaholidaynow · 17/02/2021 20:43

Not everyone has wheelie bins. Our local area doesn't, or black bins, just put bin bags out fortnightly.

TheChip · 17/02/2021 20:45

Did you tell your neighbour it was your poo bag?

I get what has happened, and easy enough to miss out on the bin if you overslept. But can you not use a public bin when walking the dog? Just take the bag when you go on your next walk that way its not hanging about for another week

ifitpleasesandsparkles · 17/02/2021 21:57

This is a really weird thread. You don't have bins? Pick your dog shit up with toilet paper then and get it flushed down your toilet.

Also RTFT means read the full thread not read the fucking thread Hmm

GrolliffetheDragon · 17/02/2021 22:12

Not everywhere has wheelie bins. What do you think happens in places with no front gardens and no rear access?

And a quick Google suggests that Anglian Water at least say no to flushing.

Stripesnomore · 17/02/2021 22:25

They have large shared bins in a nearby location. They don’t keep their rubbish in the house for 2 weeks.

Bellossom · 17/02/2021 22:31

I assume you know it was unreasonable otherwise you'd have said to your neighbour it was you that left shit lying in the garden they share

DaisyHeadMaisy · 17/02/2021 22:39

I would rather my DCs see a sign with a swear word on it than bags of shit left in a communal garden. If you acted like a responsible owner and dealt with your dog's shit properly in the first place there would be no need for a sign would there?

Your dog, your shit to deal with. Stop leaving bags anywhere other than your bin or a dog poo bin.

Marinaloves · 17/02/2021 22:53

Rank
Why didn’t you take it home and put it in your bin

supernova21 · 17/02/2021 23:44

Some of these comments just make me want to deliberately not pick up my dog's poop just to piss you lot off. I wouldn't though, the way you're all overreacting to the OP, I would probably end up fearing for my life 🙄

TotorosFurryBehind · 17/02/2021 23:53

You could have brought the bag inside with you and dealt with it in the morning?
