Pancake day - what's the normal amount of pancakes to eat??

Having a bit of a debate. Family think 6-8 is normal. I have friends who are done after two.

How many do you typically put away??? Grin (hint: make me feel better about the fifth one I'm about to have...!)

Am talking about crepes btw.
@justcannotwithyou the point is I don't want to eat both. Why would I? I'm asking you politely to stop being so childish in your comment. You sound like you need to grow up
Oh, I'm childish?Grin

Please explain your motivation for coming onto a thread about something as fun as pancake day and saying you couldn't and wouldn't eat pancakes after a meal. What on earth was that comment meant to achieve, other than trying to make others feel bad about the fact that they do?
And I didn't btw, so I'm not offended. With no kids with any understanding of what a pancake even is, I decided I couldn't be bothered with them, a decision I am regretting after seeing what everyone else treated themselves to yesterday.
Maybe I should do shrove Wednesday!

@happymummy12345

I wouldn't and couldn't have dinner as well as them
I made enough batter for three pancakes, using one egg, half a cup of milk and some flour. Surely you're not claiming that that tiny amount of food renders you full to bursting?

Today I had about 150g of spaghetti (I didn't weigh it, but estimate it was a bit under 1/3 of the packet) with bolognese sauce and cheese, followed by a chocolate mousse and a pear. I then had a biscuit later because I felt peckish. Is that a massive amount of food? (BMI c.20.)

Some people on this thread are totally letting the side down, its shameful. 1-2 pancakes each you say? WTAF were you doing all day when you knew there were pancakes to be eaten?

It’s just not good enough, you had warning to prepare for this. Must try harder next time.

I had the three big fluffy left over American pancakes from dinner last night for breakfast this morning.

potatopot · 18/02/2021 13:51

Had 2 big pancakes for breakfast, with jam - 1 egg, 50g flour, 150ml milk. Purposely didn't make more than that as I would have eaten them there and then, I love them. Filled me up enough until lunchtime.

PurpleDaisies · 18/02/2021 14:29

I am sad there is no more pancake batter left today. I might make more.

hopingforabrighterfuture2021 · 18/02/2021 14:39

I had none because I’m doing WW and couldn’t be bothered with the faff of working out how to point the batter accurately when I don’t even like pancakes much. Grin

Kids (11 and 8) had 4 each, small crepes with fillings.

riotlady · 18/02/2021 14:39

Now I’m debating pancakes for dinner tonight, cheers everyone!

VestaTilley · 18/02/2021 17:16

About 3 of 4 for adults - depends if you’re having a normal dinner as well.

I had two, DH and DS (a toddler) had one; I was going to make more then DH threw away the remaining pancake batter after washing up!! Angry

glitterbubbles · 18/02/2021 17:25

I had 8 crepes for my lunch that day before I went to work. Grin
To anyone who says that's too much (as some PP have said), we normally have a balanced, healthy diet, but once in a while it's fine to eat less healthily and splurge a bit!
