Friend says boyfriend has been suspended for having a threesome

AIBU to think that there must be more to this? Friend phoned me because her partner has been suspended (he works in a professional job - think police). They have an open relationship and both sleep with other people. I have been considering having a threesome recently, or starting a fwb relationship, and am well and truly put off by this whole debacle! Apparently he disclosed to a colleague that he had a threesome before lockdown and this made its way to management and he's been suspended for this and this alone! Surely he is entitled to a private sex life? My friend knows I've posted this here and is also curious to know if he's hiding something from her... Thoughts? Is he lying?

@BoomBoomsCousin

Is he armed forces?

I believe there are some consenting sexual situations that might be against the armed forces statement of values. Especially if they involve someone of a more junior rank or the spouse of a colleague.

That never stops them anyway. The armed forces are notorious for banging each others’ brains out. Same thing for police.

@Jackie2022 I see ...

🤣

funnylittlefloozie · 11/02/2021 19:44

@AIMD

Prison officer
Not likely unless one of the three was a prisoner.

Tbh, it sounds like he's pestered someone to join in, and that someone has had enough and gone to HR.

😮😮😮

They don't show this on line of duty. "I'm interested in one thing and one thing only and that's banging all of your fucking brains out."

LunaHeather · 11/02/2021 19:45

@radiateforme

States he was on annual leave, it was with people he knew (acquaintances) and not linked to work at all. I didn't even really need to post on here and we are both decided that it would be wrong to suspend someone simply for having an unconventional but consenting sex life. She is very worried he's not sharing details.
He's lying.
Dontfuckingsaycheese · 11/02/2021 19:46

I over shared with a fellow colleague details of a recent onesome. 😌 Should I worry? It was out of work hours, both the convo and the act.

Boredandsingle · 11/02/2021 19:46

@JackieWeaver4PM

Jeremy Kyle?

There's only take a break or channel 5 now, sadly.

"My horny hubby's gleesome threesome COST HIM HIS JOB" etc.

This is actually perfectly on point for take a break/pick me up/love it!

I found the last season really dull, so hopefully they'll start.

You obviously haven’t seen the DVD extras...

Of course he is lying, and there’s more to it.

Why on Earth was he telling colleagues about his sex life? That’s completely grim and inappropriate in the workplace.

AIMD · 11/02/2021 19:50

@funnylittlefloozie

Exactly ....hence sacked. Though there’d also be a criminal element then. I imagine the same might be true of a police officer with a.......what’s the name for people police officers work with....suspect/witness whatever

BigBadVoodooHat · 11/02/2021 19:51

Deleted on what basis?

SamLovesLembasBread · 11/02/2021 19:51

People who aren't intelligent or discreet enough to keep their private lives private risk a wide range of negative consequences. But I seriously doubt that was the whole story.

JackieWeaver4PM · 11/02/2021 19:52

@StillCoughingandLaughing Damn, I knew I should have forked out for BritBox. I always miss out on all the fun.

Ginfordinner · 11/02/2021 19:54

If it is true maybe it isn't what he did so much as who he did it with.

Playnoh · 11/02/2021 19:55

Sounds complete bull. Unless he had it at work, on the bosses desk!

BoomBoomsCousin · 11/02/2021 19:56

"That never stops them anyway. The armed forces are notorious for banging each others’ brains out. Same thing for police."

I'm sure most of the time it's a don't ask don't tell situation and they're at it like rabbits! And the junior rank thing is often brushed under the carpet anyway. But I believe, from time to time, someone who thinks it should be enforced comes across an opportunity to do so. And if that's the case and he's in the forces, it's possible there isn't anything more to the story. Though I'd probably find it suspect anyway, if I were his spouse.

SpongeBobJudgeyPants · 11/02/2021 19:57

I don't think you have all the facts here...

VasterThanEmpires · 11/02/2021 19:57

Oh please tell me there aren't slash fiction type extras? Shock

Kate whatserface in her waterfall leather jacket with yer old Irish fella (why can I not remember anyone's name?) Beurgh. Pass the eye bleach.

Ileflottante · 11/02/2021 19:58

Oh what a tangled web we weave.

JamesMiddletonsMarshmallows · 11/02/2021 19:58

Context is key. It's not appropriate to talk about your sex life at work maybe he did it to a young junior colleague who felt creeped out

JackieWeaver4PM · 11/02/2021 19:59

Apparently so.

And I'll tell you now that they're not on fucking iPlayer. 😠😠
