Does anyone like the show schitt’s creek?

I liked it but I understand why other people might not like it. I think it's an acquired taste. The first time I tried it, I hated all the characters and found the acting very affected. Then someone suggested I give it another try, so I did, and this time somehow I was really drawn in. I think, though, it wasn't until halfway through season 2 that I really liked it. I don't remember the episode, but there was a particular episode that pulled everything together and after that I loved it.

I think it's crucial to the show that the Rose's are all a bit narcissistic and self-centered. You aren't meant to find them likeable, at least in the beginning. But they aren't annoying in a random way, it's all carefully done to set up the character revelations that are scattered through the show. I don't really see it as a sitcom, more as a drama with comedy elements (is that a dramedy?).

I think David is meant to be the main character and it's really his story. If you are a mother with a son who doesn't fit in or who doesn't seem to be thriving in life, then I think this show will really speak to you.
