I’m getting fed up of this now! What have you booked and are you expecting to go?

We are considering a holiday rental but don’t want to get our hopes up. Also don’t particularly want to be on a mobbed beach if we have a hot summer!

Dubai for the Easter holidays. Booked before this new variant came about and desperate for something to look forwards to. Got notifications from BA that our flights are cancelled. Which tells me no way will anyone be flying abroad before may.

Doilooklikeatourist · 05/02/2021 21:47

Nothing booked , TBH I dont fancy getting on a plane any time soon
Hopefully somewhere in the UK in the autumn
DD ( 23 ) is hoping for an Ibizan summer holiday ... I’m not sure she’ll be going anywhere , but shes so down in the dumps at the moment she needs something to look forward too

TillyTopper · 05/02/2021 21:49

None! Just in case.... at some stage though when we can go it'll be the Maldives.

gingajewel · 05/02/2021 21:50

I had Spain rolled over from last year for august but today I have cancelled it and just lost my deposit. I have booked haven instead with some kind of hope it will go ahead!

FrostyChocolateMilkshake · 05/02/2021 21:51

I've got Greece booked in June and Turkey booked in October.

Both rearranged from last year.

If these weren't already booked I wouldn't bother booking anything for this year.

SilenceOfThePrams · 05/02/2021 21:52

2 rebooked from last year. Both U.K. first will be shunted on to next year I think, second might be a goer.

Snowwaiting · 05/02/2021 21:53

British self catering mobile home in Cornwall in July . Went to the same place last summer - so we know it was good

Justlovedogs · 05/02/2021 21:55

Barbados in November, moved from last November and originally booked pre-Covid. Hoping we'll be able to go by then, but not getting hopes up too much, just in case.

MsSquiz · 05/02/2021 21:58

We have a UK weekend break booked for June (postponed from last May), a week in Portugal in July (postponed from last July) and a UK weekend in December (postponed from last December)

I'm not overly confident the Portugal holiday will happen, hope hopeful the 2 UK breaks will

MsSquiz · 05/02/2021 21:59

*but hopeful, not hope hopeful

Thealarmclockisdormant · 05/02/2021 22:01

Caravan in Cornwall in August, hoping to take grandchildren. Even if it doesn't happen we will at least have enjoyed choosing, booking and looking forward to something. Feel better for doing it

Bargebill19 · 05/02/2021 22:04

None. Partly because of covid and partly because I currently work term time and Dh doesn’t. He refuses to book in school holidays.

ItsNotAlrightButItsOkay · 05/02/2021 22:06

None! My two UK holidays were cancelled last year. Luckily I got a holiday in January abroad.
I won't be booking any this year. I'll book 2 or 3 next year if things are looking better.

woowoobs · 05/02/2021 22:07

Iv booked centre parcs for July, caravan holiday in Cornwall for august, a different caravan holiday in October and although I haven't booked it yet thinking of booking New York for December- to celebrate a once in a lifetime (not birthday) occasion. Really want to book the NY trip as prices are great at the moment but unsure what to do

thetaleunfolds · 05/02/2021 22:12

None. I'll book a late deal if a) we can travel and b) I don't get pregnant

ufucoffee · 05/02/2021 22:16

We have a holiday in may which was cancelled last year and rebooked for this year. I'll be very disappointed if we can't go again

HappyFlamingo · 05/02/2021 22:19

None booked yet. We are in wait and see mode.

SunscreenCentral · 05/02/2021 22:25

Was hoping to take the DC to France, I have a booking made (July/Aug) and I have a little bit of flex for dates, and until end of June to cancel/rollover.
At this stage I’ll be happy to stay in my own country as long as I can see family and friends over the summer

Ilovelblue · 05/02/2021 22:26

I've booked a holiday in the New Forest for early August with a few days on the Isle of Wight in the middle of it, all fully refundable if need be.

Also contemplating something in Europe later on in the year but it depends how everything works out with air travel etc.

Glenthebattleostrich · 05/02/2021 22:26

we have Florida booked for may, moved from last year but wont be going.

Have a nice lodge booked for may bank holiday and will book a week away in summer in the uk as usual, hopefully!

Completely fed up now. Last year we had lots of 'big' birthdays and other celebrations and family stuff planned and couldn't do any of it. Should have hiked Hadrian's wall with my brothers, trip to Iceland for my husband's birthday, Florida, family weekend away for dads retirement, girls weekend away, visit to Disneyland paris with my daughter and a romantic weekend with my husband for our anniversary.

WithinAForestDark · 05/02/2021 22:29

I really want to book my holiday but I just can't bring myself to until I know there's going to be a point to getting excited. Also concerned about things being half-mast, so to speak, when there. It just wouldn't be the same would it?

PattyPan · 05/02/2021 22:59

Nothing yet but planning to book a short U.K. camping trip for September. Planning a big trip abroad for hopefully next year using the money we’ve saved from this year’s holiday budget.

MissMarpleDarling · 05/02/2021 23:04

None. It will be cancelled why would I book a holiday 😂

christmasathomeagain · 05/02/2021 23:06

Nothing. I would expect to loose money on anything booked. We hope to get camping at most this year.

Mads123 · 05/02/2021 23:07

Three weeks in florida in September, booked before covid was a thing. I bloody hope we get to go, it'll be my sons first holiday and he'll be coming up 3.
