Mr tumble drama

So old CBeebies presenter (Sarah-Jane if anyone remembers the olden days of CBeebies) is in the newspapers saying she was best friends with mr tumble but he completely ghosted her after cbeebies sacked her (without even letting her know) when she did an underwear photo for animal rights.
Now mr tumbles mum is in the papers saying its a load of rubbish.
I used to see a lot of CBeebies back then and realised I never noticed that Sarah-Jane disappeared or read about this at the time.
AIBU to think they were a bit harsh and that mr tumble shouldn’t have ignored her?

I don't believe for a second Mr Tumble has a mother. He was cloned off a scary clown doll by some Cbeebies committee.

Mr Bloom actor has been on other CBeebies stuff with his natural accent and it is indeed southern.

With mr tumble I just get the impression the nice guy persona is a bit of an act, I don’t know why he just off that vibe to me!

I had the misfortune to bump into him (literally) at a toy trade show. He was being marched around by two bouncer types and and what I assume was a PA type designated to look after him for the show. Nobody really gave a hoot as we were all there to see which new toy lines we were interested in, and there were barely any kids there because it wasn't that sort of event. He definitely looked like he was a bit of an arrogant wally at the time. I've also read (on MN probably) that when people see him out and about he's never too keen to say hi or have pictures or whatever, but to be honest I can kind of understand that. I bet he can't even go out for a cheapo meal at a harvester or similar without being absolutely swarmed by preschoolers.

I have it on good authority that he's a major prick IRL. He also looks very like an entertainer I knew who was so lovely and so much fun til he turned off the mic and then he also was an utter prick. Come to think of it, they've never been seen in the same room.....

Interesting, I’ve heard the opposite about Mr Tumble. After filming finished he spent a lot of his own time meeting the kids in the school he was visiting. I haven’t met him but I love that he has helped to make Makaton more main stream.

The Tweenies was ruined for me when I discovered that Jake grew up to be Mr Tumble.

Can't stand the man or something bloody special ,and before anyone has a go at me I have a non verbal child in a special school ,I just find him and the show incredibly patronising ,they actually filmed at my child's special school at one point we all had to give permission for our children to appear ,I don't think they picked my son though .

I think most 'celebs' are dicks in real life. Fame goes to their heads and they become tossers.

I’ve posted this before as I’ve worked with him! He was fantastic with the kids and really hard working but us in the crew were under no illusions that we were not in his inner sanctum therefore considered beneath him.

A small number of children’s entertainers had this attitude, many were lovely to everyone involved in the production I worked alongside.

Tumble is a dick. Did CBeebies filming with SEN kids. Imagine the excitement. He wouldn’t even speak with them before or after filming.
Went to another SEN school and was a hungover moody twat
