Currently on calorie counting so I've been parted with my favourite Prosecco since the 2 Jan.

I've been drinking gin instead as my second favourite tipple of choice. Currently I'm liking Hendrick's but I get bored.

Should I stick, or twist?

Roku is my all time favourite,

Daffys is lovely,

Tanqueray is a classic

Monkey 47 is easily the best gin I have ever had

Principe De Los Apostles was a different gin, quite nice

I like The Botanist, a bit too strong for me

Warner Edwards Rhubarb gin is fantastic

Good tonic water is a must , I really like Walter Gregors and Fevertree . I went through a gin phase a few years ago and collected many bottles.

LordEmsworth · 28/01/2021 20:11

Tappers. They are all excellent, but Springfever is my favourite.

PJ04JCW · 28/01/2021 20:12

Masons Yorkshire tea gin is delicious, and the Lidl one is very acceptable. Sipsmith is lovely, and Lone Wolf is amazing.
Maybe get a gin advent calendar when it's time?
Both Aldi and Lidl tonic in cans and little bottles are almost as nice as fever tree.

My favourite gin is Hoxton Gin, with Jack Cains Northumberland Gin as a close second. Both are hard to get hold of though.
I also like Muff Gin, Durham Gin, Gin mare, poetic licence northern dry gin, all of which I can get from the supermarket

CabernetSoWhat · 28/01/2021 20:14

Don't like Hendricks. It tastes insipid and dull. Add cucumber, and it's like drinking a limp handshake.

I like a sharpeness to my gin. Bombay Sapphire & Schweppes with a squeeze of lemon.

Haven't tried enough other varieties, only flavoured ones (coffee gin is gross).

NisekoWhistler · 28/01/2021 20:14

I love Ophir, Malfy grapefruit and Chase Grapefruit

NewCatMummy · 28/01/2021 20:14

Isle of Harris for special occasions, adnams copperhouse for everyday.

Bombay sapphire

BigMamaFratelli · 28/01/2021 20:15

I like Botanist gin

I got a bottle of Locksley raspberry and cardamom for my birthday which is gorgeous. I'm picky about flavoured gins but really like this.

I also highly recommend true north's Sheffield dry gin.

SingingWaffleDoggy · 28/01/2021 20:15

Tanquery no 10, but that one rather than the regular. And if I fancy something different Ophir, with some red chillis, or ginger.
As I’m pregnant we’ve just bought Gordon’s 0%, and it’s actually really nice! Not usually a fan of Gordon’s though, but the flavours are really nice with a nice chunk of lime. I genuinely would happily drink it even if not pregnant (plus you can drink it any time of the day kid yourself it’s real and it’s not frowned upon)!

noisenoisenoisenoise · 28/01/2021 20:16

So much choice!

Opihr. It's like gin curry.

buckeejit · 28/01/2021 20:16

Placemarking!

I wasn't a great fan of Roku either.

Will generally drink anything but have been enjoying the craft gin club deliveries/have about 7 bottle of Gin to get through after dry Jan & looking forward to indulging!

Flyingwiththecanons · 28/01/2021 20:17

Tanquery Sevilla and Mermaid gin ... pretty bottle to house fairy lights after it’s gone 🧜‍♀️

IrishCream123 · 28/01/2021 20:17

Copper House..... best Gin by a mile

Peccary · 28/01/2021 20:18

I'm a bombay loyalist for everyday gin. My favourite flavoured ones are Whitley Neill gooseberry and Aber Falls Marmalade

Allispretty · 28/01/2021 20:18

Whitley neills raspberry or Martin millers - this is really nice with normal tonic, dash of cracked pepper and strawberries!

marmitegirl01 · 28/01/2021 20:19

Decent tonic raises any gins game.
Fevertree aromatics is lovely
